I can already feel my o-ring burning.

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

These are used to make organic lube, yes?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i mean, if you can get the dilution amount right so it hurts but doesn't cause damage, the kinksters would love it. capsaicin is oil soluble though so you couldn't put it in a water-based. it wouldn't mix properly. you could use coconut oil but then don't mix it with latex

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here. The plants keep giving and giving. The reapers are almost ready, too. This evening I made two jars of sweet chili thai sauce.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Throw them into a mixer and drink it @OP

Scotch bonnet brought to full, bright red, fruity-ripeness are my absolute favourite pepper! Big Up!

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You sure they're scotch bonnets and not Carolina reapers? One or two of them seem to have the distinctive tail of the reaper

I didn’t make any definitive comment regarding the species of the peppers in the picture, whatsoever. I simply made a statement about my personal preference of pepper.

Those look like some angry tomatoes

Indeed! Good job!

STOP CALLING ME BOWL!

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

People say that, but I have NEVER had the flaming butthole thing, ever. I love hot sauce, even tried the "hottest sauce in the world" that a pop up shop carried. Had to sign a waiver to try it. I have a high tolerance but man that was something else. Still, no burn comming out.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

lucky you! For me, many red chilis/peppers give me a second experience a few hours later, most green ones do not. Makes no sense but it is what it is

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's more quantity than heat. I once fucked up and ate so much oil based heat (think nashville hot chicken) that I pissed fire for a couple days. I can sample the hottest shit all day long, but it gets diluted.

Go to a Thai restaurant and tell 'em you want it 'native spicy'. A whole meal of pain, and your ring will get toasty.

I think you found your special skill in life, bud. Wear it like a proud badge, because I'm proud of you!

People who have that issue have weak genes and their line will end.

Great year for habaneros, giant scallions, and tomatoes of all kinds. My Thai chilis never hit puberty and are just little babyknubs.

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Same here.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My sweet peppers and Meyer lemons might as well be a nothing shrub. Ghost peppers are coming in ok though….

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Just wondering if you grew them from seeds or store bought plants have saved seeds from the previous season and have had not great success wondering if it's a lack of insect activity

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I bought mine because last year my from-seed chilis did nothing. There was a master gardener's sale in Spring and my lady kind of went nuts.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Scorpions? Or 7 pods?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Scorpion

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nifty! I never had much luck with mine, they'd flower like mad but almost no fruit set. Very frustrating.

Don’t touch your face, especially your eyes. Okay?

Pour some sugar syrup into your toilet in advance to apologize to the biome in your sewage pipes. They are gonna feel that burn for the entire winter

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll take that as a badge of honour

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yum! What will they be turned into?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm going to dry them do nothing and they rot to much effort for that

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

if you spend an hour cutting them into rough chunks and packing them into a big jar with salt you can leave them on the counter more or less indefinitely. they'll form their own brine and pickle themselves

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A very sore bottom

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

OK, yeah, that's on me.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hope whatever comes out isn’t on you but I don’t kinkshame

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are those carolina reapers?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Scorpion

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congrats, what a nice harvest.

I always pick one and nibble on it a bit just to immediately regret it. But then I go back to nibble more and more.

Some chilis just got a taste to them that’s irresistible to me. But upon getting older I get less spice resistance. Same for you OP?

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I grew some orange ghost peppers this year and while they are way too hot for me I absolutely love the fruity flavor they have.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

try removing the seeds/membranes and blanching them for 30 seconds. it takes a LOT of heat out. they won't be quite as crunchy but they won't be a totally cooked texture either. they're fine that way for salsa or cooking with

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the intrest no! I can't eat this product, I have managed to find, every season, another victim, when I say victim I say that with the utmost respect. This year our new friend a Mexican girl and her dad LOVE the peppers, my motivation

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

tolerance not resistance lol

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

you certainly build up a tolerance to the heat yeah

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

if you love the flavour but can't handle the heat you can reduce it significantly by removing seeds and membranes and/or blanching in boiling water for 30 seconds

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can but my colon decided to get weak some day and now I feel every burn while it’s going south

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make hot sauce. Boiling them, blending then straining takes the edge off big time. It’s still hot but not blistering and you get all the flavor. That’s what I’m doing with mine

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

lacto-fermenting helps too. doesn't so much reduce the heat so much as make it easier to digest. also makes the flavours more balanced, complex, and unified

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’d be great thanks for the tip. My tongue is still capable but my innards aren’t any more. So this will help a lot

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cooking them in any way without the seeds and cords tones them down a lot. Habs have a ton of flavor. I like doing sauce because you can strain all that stuff out at the end then it’s just pure liquid flavor you can put on anything

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

May go for sauce, pickled or pickled sauce.

Let’s see if I can still feel them all the way through my body. If this is the cure I may eat hot food again without being scared of the bathroom

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can make so much baby food with that.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My friend gave me some "habaneros" plants to grow. I kept telling him they weren't habaneros. Here's a pic of one.
