I get that, but I think it's important to consider the potential for growth in a candidate. When Obama was elected in 2008, he opposed same-sex marriage. He eventually came around. Harris was too pro-Israel for a lot of people - as were most Western leaders. Many have since condemned Israel, and I think Harris has the capacity to evolve, too.
Newsom is flawed, for sure, but I'd rather a flawed Dem with potential than a hardline stance that results in this fascist bullshit we're stuck with now.
