I have a photo of myself sitting on literally the exact spot of rock that the cat is sitting on

".......can I fucking help you?"

- that cat once it spared enough time looking at the view and cleaning itself

That’s a shaman

You can hike to the top, the cat probably followed some hikers.

"Filthy casuals."

They found a god. Seriously though, it doesn't look like it's been lost long.

I wonder how high that peak was before the cat got there.

This just tells me that cats truly lost none of their abilities as a wild animal when they domesticated themselves. They simply decided to tolerate people. Because if left alone or stranded on top of a fucking mountain they can take care of themselves. Present day dogs could never.

"What? Like it's hard?"

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Cats crave to be tall. I think that's why despise birds, because cats can't fly.

Well, and this mountain is named after the Lynx that live there. So, the tabby might have just come to visit family.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is anyone gonna mention that the mountain is named Lynx? 🐈

Cats like pretty views too

We know that dogs and bears actually do, so chances are cats do as well.

I did not realize Poland has mountains!

O cat of the mountain, what is your wisdom?

Cats are little gurus

Had a similar experience on what I thought was a pretty treacherous hike around a surging Swiss waterfall and river. Cat appeared out of nowhere, snuggled up for pets, then disappeared hopping onto the rocky canyon walls without a care in the world.

Yeah we summitted La Malinche in Mexico, which is 4,500m, and there were several stray dogs on the peak. It actually made me quite sad because they were shivering and one was injured. I think they go up there because people hang out and eat snacks at the summit and feed the dogs :(

Are you sure that was Mexico, because free dogs at the top of a fourteener is the most Colorado thing I can imagine

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Coloradans are obsessed with their dogs, they wouldn't leave them up there!

True, true

It is surely looking for something to push off the edge.

2 years ago | Likes 496 Dislikes 1

It's surely been out there, cruelly.

If they had panned down, they would have noticed the pile of previous climbers...

I think cat has achieved cat Nirvana, when there are no more things to push off edges

Did they get the cat down?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't get down from a cat, you get down from a goose

I've been here and it isn't as remote as it seems, there is a very busy mountain hut only about an hour's walk down. And also a road and couple of hotels another 2 or 3 hours walk further down from that. The cat probably probably lives in one of those places and follows tourists in the hope of getting snacks

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The cat DOES look well-fed and remarkably comfortable. Do you know if the local alpine huts come with caretakers?
