I wonder if the teacher ever ate from there lol

"Monetizing Addictive Foods for Fun and Profit" was a pretty lousy title.

So... he changed it after seeing how awful it was and now he's a success? Good professor.

To be a billionaire, he'd have to screw over and exploit a whole lot of people .

Canes is gross

I honestly thought that place would never make it as a single item eatery, probably what his professor thought :/

I got an idea, I’m gonna make some tasteless chicken with a mediocre dipping sauce, decent crinkle fries, and some bomb bread.

It’s the exact opposite of churches. Terrible bread; decent crinkle fries, pretty good spicy sprinkle, and very good chicken.

One’s making money, the other I need a bulletproof vest for

He underestimated dumb people with low standards

Heb stole the idea from Layne's in college station, Tx

Stole the idea seems a bit much, unless there's more to the story. "people seem to like that chicken finger place, I bet I could do that better" is just healthy competition.

Because he followed that business plan to a T, never straying or changing anything or getting any outside advice?

Every time you see one of these stories it's important to remember that the grade would be on how well the plan is written not if the idea was good.

And the lesson I take away is that you can learn, and recover, from an F. Who knew?

And whether the teacher didn't like the student

It's also important to remember you're seeing an outlier. ~99% of people who fail business and up failing *at* business too.

They have a business plan?

Too bad its bland and basic. I really don't understand the alure of this mediocre product.

Could be operations cost. I dont know if all of them are like this but the ones in Baton Rouge dont have a dining area, just drive through.

Same.

It's okay, most people don't understand why you have to pour tabasco sauce on everything you eat to ignore your food's actual taste in favor of giving yourself the sweats so you can pretend you have testosterone... or whatever the real fucking reason is you do that shit.

Hot, fried tendies and fries in anchovy sauce is mid. But mid sells if McDs showed us anything.

Yah I dont get why its so successful either. You'd think a place that does ONE THING would do it well.

Was it ever good? Like, it used to be good, then something?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup went to see what the fuss was about when it calmed down with the new one near us. Zero options and the chicken tastes like it was fried in the most tasteless oil with no seasonings. The sauce made it only just bearable. Never plan to go back.

I think it is the sauce that makes it anything. From what I heard.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. I was really disappointed at first. Then I realized it was silly to have any expectations on fast food chicken.

Fair.
