I was on register the other day when a customer decided to get angry at me cause her Apple Watch starbucks app wasn’t working.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tell him that watch can monitor his heartbeat irregularities and his Medicare won’t cover it. See how quick he gets jealous.

My government recently redesigned all the currency but I haven't used cash in forever so now it all just looks like foreign money anyway.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What you gonna do old man ? Vote for trump ?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

I usually pay with my phone, but I always have my card and some cash on me for backup (in case phone dies, they have no eftpos or whatever)>

< the people that get me annoyed where I work is that they wait until you tell them how much it costs and then start transferring money >

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

< from their savings to their main account on their phone...like you couldn't have done this while waiting in line?

IDC about what you use to pay with, just make sure you have the money in your account BEFORE you try to pay. The amount of waiting for ppl..

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use mobile pay, but if I see a line behind me I avoid using it, just on the off chance it doesn't read it quickly

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

But I loathe those who keep trying to use it despite that either the reader isn't NFC capable or just bc they don't care for others in line

We all will run into the same problem when our mandatory government issue rfid chips glitch out

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

What are you talking about??

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So far I have found apple pay works fast and flawlessly at Costco and Walgreens. All others seem to be hit or miss.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Costco employee -- they fixed that thing where debit cards fail the pin. The pinpad will just ask for it when it fails.

If you’re from the future, who is president in 2018?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Ronald Reagan.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait, no, the other actor. Was in Home Alone 2, I believe.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Joe Pesci

I am okay with this.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cash, it never fails to read, scan or connect. Where as it took this lady 7 min to get her Apple Pay to work, she looked at the line forming

I use card all the time because I don't have a pocket for change.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I use my cards because you can't get cash back with cash!!!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

unless you give them the exact balance that's literally what return change is.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No I get x% cash back on purchases or save x% by using their card. I don't have one of those cards that rounds up and change goes to savings

Right up until you pull it, crumpled and drenched in sweat, from your bra. At which point I or any cashier I work will will refuse it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Boob sweat is the least of it. Anything that is touched by countless hands is covered in fecal particles because some people are pigs.

Some places around me aren’t accepting cash anymore ‘:|

A couple restaurants I know take only cash. They also get robbed a lot. I won’t miss cash when it goes away.

Cash isn't going away...

I almost got into a fight with some hot headed dude who got angry at me because he had to wait 5 seconds for me to park my car.

*Waits until the cashier tells him the final total to pull out his checkbook and START writing a check for $17.23*

7 years ago | Likes 461 Dislikes 10

I don't even know what they look like. I've never seen one up close. Seen it used once, when i was in france.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So many people write out the full check even though all the reader does is scan the bank numbers along the bottom.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

No first they spend a few minutes to write it in the back of the book, then they write the real check which takes a few more minutes.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

all that, and wrote down the check to the wrong store then has to start over

7 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

*check bounces*

7 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

They're paper. they don't bounce well... and the person variety is only slightly better :T

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I can't remember the last time I was somewhere that still accepted cheques.

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 4

Costco still takes checks. Although, we can have the register print the info for the customer, so they can just sign.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My workplace does. Unfortunately.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My store does. We process electronically, so it's just like a debit card. The number of people I've had to explain the idea of their /

I use a check to pay my car payment each month

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Shoppers near me does. I think Hobby Lobby does as well. Not seen anyone use them in years though.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Most of the grocery stores including Walmart still accept them around me. Last time I saw one being used the whole line loudly groaned.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First of all, gross spelling ya dang foreigner, second of all lots of places near me do

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 14

That's the proper English way to spell a cheque....

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 16

And then we made it more efficient. Got rid of all those extra u's and fancy stuff.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"proper English" that's the most pretentious thing I've heard in my whole life.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 21

I mean, the English kinda invented the language, you know. It's even in the name.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 8

Are you seriously getting pissed at someone using a gramatically correct word because it's not the same way you write it?
