26 Man Tax: Willy Cartier

“The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook.” - William James

So, I made a discord server. It's a relaxed environment where you can take/donate memes to the cause, play trivia twice a week, chat about lots of topics or about nothing at all. We also have Jack Box game night and are setting up movie night! Very laid back/relaxed vibe. Come hang with us.
https://discord.gg/AWFV7FT3RQ
I'm also on the imgcat server for updates & fun:

***Also if you miss abbiistabbii's discord community good news! Here's the new one https://discord.gg/NPStJGgARq - where everyone's reconnecting, shitposting, and hanging out again***

#9 I legit did this for a TV acting class. I'm sure my professor knew what I was doing, she suggested I play up the absurdity of "fondly" remembering such a messed up childhood.

yes in Germany laughing is only done under one's breath

I have a German friend and I asked him what is the German word for fun. He looked at me and shrugged and said I don't know if there is one, but it was never used in my house.

#13 I thought I’d start with a controlled fire.

Then I remembered I can’t control fire.

What happened to the artist focus? I liked that!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was busy right up til post time and didn't have time to sort one out. It'll be back!

#13 some people should not be allowed access to fire.

At least not with accelerants

#18 Lahaina Noon. The sun is exactly 90⁰ above the horizon in every direction and no shadow is visible besides the branches. It's absolutely surreal.

It's pointing the way to the hospital's in-building Dunkin' Donuts.

#13 the person in the blanket is acting like it's a daily occurrence with this guy. No reactions whatsoever.
It's crazy he lived this long.

HOLEY FUCK, THERE'S A PERSON IN THAT BLANKET!!!
I swear I did not see anyone else in that video...probably too mesmerized by the fire dancing going on. Speaking of which, he seems to be intoxicated or otherwise impaired.

My words would be "don't fucking use gasoline near fires!!"

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

How are the chances that some alcohol was involved?

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ok wow, he got a second chance at redemption and screwed it up even harder! Must be those fumes he was inhaling! v

This is how my father-in-law's oldest brother died when he was 12 (in the 1960's). He used gasoline to start a fire, and the flames followed the fume trail back to the gas can in his hand. The fumes around him also caught fire.

This guy was probably saved by the flame mitigation mechanism required on newer gas cans to prevent flashback ignition.

(1) Of course, the Trump administration and some Congressional Republicans want to repeal the law that mandated this safety feature, and eliminate both the child-resistant design requirement and the self-closing vent requirement, because they reduce the flow rate of the nozzle and are more difficult to use. While this is true, it's not worth putting lives at risk just for the sake of a small convenience.

Also possibly because these features were also meant to reduce evaporative emissions.
