I watched WWF in the 80's when I was a kid. Is WWE today better or worse than the classic stuff?

Depends. There's quite a bit less unrealistic elements, especially now that the Undertaker is retired. But most of the non-PPV stuff 1/?
2/? isn't worth watching, as they tend to recap most of the plot points of the current arc at the PPVs
3/3 So I'd say its all on whether you like only watching the expensive shows, and if you cared about people like the Undertaker, Kane, etc.
