So people have loved the animation and humour in the One-Punch Man anime. What many people may not know is that the manga almost JUST as detailed, if not more.
One-Punch Man originally started as a web-comic by manga-artist with the pseudonym "One" (shown left) in 2009. After a few years and a massive boom in popularity, he was approached by another artist, Yusuke Murata, who offered to redraw the panels he done and have them published. One agreed. Murata created numerous, incredibly detailed, double page spreads.

Not a whole lot farther in English yet, but yes. You can pick up individual electronic versions of the books on Amazon for pretty cheap.

It depends. The versions drawn by Murata (English) are about a saga or two ahead. The versions drawn by One are almost much further.

If you're talking about Genos, that's the joke. It's making fun of ridiculously convoluted backstories that are common in anime/manga.
