Just heard it in a podcast. I saw all the go out and vote posts yesterday. Wanted to get the info out

What is this election for? Primaries? I live in Montreal, but my voter registration is for Texas because that's the state we lived in last.

There are many, many reasons why Voting by mail is valid and important. For example, I live in Japan it was able to vote in the election

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Thanks to mail voting

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Traditionally, Republicans vote by mail in higher numbers.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Abbot’s office said it was the elections officials fault for not understanding the law

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone in Texas, check your registration. Those scumbags will do everything in their power and then some to stop you from voting.

4 years ago | Likes 299 Dislikes 2

Same with Florida.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Mine was suspended just in time for the primaries.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Which tells you they are scared and know the numbers are against them.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Making sure I didn't misunderstand- their new system requires their ID address to match their card? As a Canadian, isn't that how it's 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

supposed to go though? It would be fixed manually at the polling station by a live person but by mail in, it "sort of" makes sense? 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have my new Voter ID card in hand…along with my TXDL and passport.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Check out the propositions! What the actual F?!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Seriously, I didn't know we were northern neighbours to such a dystopia. Don't make us come down there (thumps broom handle into floor).

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Too much voter fraud apparently. Trump lost because more people voted for Biden. They don't want that happening again

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Been saying all along, register to vote as republican to make sure your vote gets counted, then surprise those fuckers by voting democrat.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everyone should vote in person if you can... suppressing/rejecting mail in votes is their plan

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Moved to MT before the last election, the mail-in ballot system here is pretty legit, you can sign in to check that your ballot went through

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's so sad to see that something as simple and sacred as voting is being threatened by so much corruption in USA.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

Texas part of Russia now?.... or was it China?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Republican state so part of Russia.

The only way to beat projection is a mirror, vote whatever method it takes to get it accepted.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And ID is an ID. Why the F… would you require the same ID to be used? EU here: COMPLETELY BAFFLED!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Because a significant number of politicians in the US of a certain political party don't want voters deciding who wins elections.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

or social to match the registration, why would your social not match?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

I don’t get the voter registration anyways. In EU you’re registered in city where you live. That registration automatically generates /2

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Voting forms for local or national elections. At polling station they need to see a valid ID (anyone that counts) to match the form.

At this point, I've signed up for alerts. Just in case. You never know.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can’t even get a license renewed when I make an appointment. Passport has been expired a year bc there’s no available appt times

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Okay fine, I'll vote. I'll march my my ass up to the polling station so the have one less vote to suppress.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I still don't understand what I'm supposed to vote for in a primary

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The person you actually want. In the general, you suck it up and vote for the least bad.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then the law is working exactly as intended. We just can't let anybody who wants to vote, vote. s/

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not surprising - mail in ballots would have flipped the state if the AG hadnt blocked a few million of them last election

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Serious question from a non Texan: do they have to tell you that your app has been rejected and do so in a short amount of time?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IMHO mail voti g should nit be a thing. Votig should be 48h sunday and saturday, at your local school in person

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Texas continuing to rig elections.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This will also hurt the GOP just as much. Don't they understand that? Dumbasses.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Shhhhhhhhhh

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not really. Dems are far more likely to mail in votes.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Not really. Their base will turn out to the poling stations because they a)don't care about covid and b) there are more places in their area

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I only say this because I know of many old boomers that depend on mail in ballots to vote. Handicap, etc. It will make an impact on them.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

With our system all they need to win is more than the Democrat.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Somehow, I bet straight party line GOP voters won't have their applications rejected.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"what voter suppression?" ~Texas GOP

4 years ago | Likes 442 Dislikes 3

"I cAn StIlL vOtE!"

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It’s the same picture

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Just GOP. Texas is just a test bed.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*Tex bed. I'll see myself out.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh God. First the Republicans accuse ya'll of cheating and now it's uno reverse. Is your voting system legit or not? WHAT IS GOING ON!? 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

WHY IS YOUR POLITICS SO CONFUSION!? AMERICA EXPLAIN!! 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's been their Modus Operandi for a while now: Blame others for your mistakes/what you do while doing everything possible to get power. >

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you look into it, every single voter fraud case that has seen major press from the 2020 election was by Repubs. It's BS but hard to stop.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its confusing to make it harder, and to obscure the erosion of actual democracy. (But to be honest, electoral college was always bad...)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does this mean that Democrats only get one vote now?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why does anyone live in that state? Genuine question, I wanna know what is or what's not going on in that brain.

4 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 4

Because the full price of my Texas house cost as much as the down payment in Queens, NY.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because if I leave, that’s one less blue voter in a state that is getting closer and closer to flipping every election cycle.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because they allowed slavery when Mexico outlawed it. Now their great great grandchildren thrive off anger and stupidity.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They’ve deregulated a lot of shit so theres a lot less taxes. Hence why the rich people move there and why their electric grid sucks.

4 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

Deregulated implies they were ever smart enough to put regulations in place. Texas just wipes away the blood and keeps the orphan grinder.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Born here and poor

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Aside from loud idiots that make us look terrible, the majority of Texans are very nice and we just want everyone to live a happy life.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's where all my stuff is. Also wife's job. My job has good ins. Also, great medical center with good transplant team. Would hate to (1

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2) move and have to go through all the testing with a new set of doctors to get on the transplant list.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had family move there from CA to be able to afford a house

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was born here, family is too broke to move out, and are all disabled so they don't have jobs and won't let me get one and want me on ssdi.

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Same, my wife wants to move up north but I can't even get approved for a CC right now much less a house loan. Ugh.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was born here and can't afford to move to another town, let alone another state.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Many businesses moved there. Cheaper cost of living. Less taxes.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

My g-g-gfather was one of the people who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence. All major cities over 100000 are blue.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

the thugs lose.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I like your style. Why flee when you can fix.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

getting close to turning blue overall. this is why the thugs are so into stopping people from voting. I all dems and progressives vote,

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

There's a large military presence so there's that

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Texans LOVE Texas. It is a cult in itself.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yep. I love Texas. It's the psycho motherfuckers running the place and people who vote for them that I hate

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've had ex-family tell us, you can buy a house for... we're in the bay area, so a lot less. I always told them>

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ya, but I walk out of my front door, and I'm in Texas! They weren't fond of that.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because things that happen in politics have no bearing on my life whatsoever. (or at least not in any noticeable way)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesnt matter who is in charge or what laws they pass. Open the door, go outside, notice there are no politicians in your driveway

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My cat hates being in the car. Like absolutely hates it. I can barely take her to the vet.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’d totally leave. I have nightmares about *not* leaving, but she hates movement so much, I don’t know how to leave.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Could the vet prescribe some kind of mild sedative for a move?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’m really not sure, she’s really hard to give medication to. I’ll need to look into it, but it’s also so scary to do to a small animal.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly what I was thinking. Your cat will be happier with you happier, @niooes.
