Imgur Secret Santa Best Gift of 2022 Award goes to @DanToTheMan

Please pardon the late thank you submission… I just got back from a long holiday out of state. @DanToTheMan you really blew me away with your Secret Santa gifts this year.

First that I came upon was the whittling set and extra basswood carving blocks. What a cool and creative gift. I can’t wait to “take a stab” at carving some miniatures to put up around the house. I think I’ll start by whittling something simple like little mushrooms or birds. Very excited to try my hand at this new skill.

Second pull from the box was the whittling starter guide. There are some really cool projects in this book I’ll share a few that caught my attention in the next few slides.

It’s likely that I will whittle a few fish/trout, so this is a great template to try out.

Chonk pig is a winner.

Next pull was the packlite charger and camp lantern. This thing is super cool, and I can tell that it will get used until it dies. We do a lot of car camping at primitive sites in the summer and fall, and so I know this solar charger will come in handy when out on 5+ day trips.

Here it is expanded and fully lit up. There is a charging usb port on the top, and 5 or 6 light settings. Such a useful tool.

The next thing to get pulled was the Wekapo. Dude, You went so hard on this gift this year. This thing looks awesome. Since it’s hard to tell from the photo, and since I couldn’t really get a running start in the house to show it set up, I’ll explain. This is an inflatable hammock for outdoor lounging. Looks like it’s going to be awesome for picnics in the park and visits to the beach. Such a bad ass gift, can’t wait to try it out. I think I’ll keep the whittling knives away from the inflatable chair though.

And finally, check out the dope bowling shirt. I don’t really have a go to shirt for league night, but now I do. I Love it. Thanks for the amazing effort and care you poured into this year’s gift @DanToTheMan , you really knocked its out of the park.
