This breaks my heart. I hope they can find someone who will be able to meet her needs! Good luck Ginger!

That fuckin makes my heart hurt. I am in Utah and have 2 pits already. I would take that sweet baby if I could.

Love the pupper but if Stephen King has taught me anything, its to never trust Maine

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

She's broken. For less than the cost of keeping for 4 years you could've fixed her "issues with resource guarding". = more adoptable.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Please post an update if she gets adopted!!!

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Oh man if I lived closer to her I would be all over trying to adopt.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I would but I don't have a place right now T.T

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Damn the pounds where I live would have put her down after that long. Poor pupper glad she’s still alive and hope someone adopts her soon!

Road trip to Maine anyone?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was just looking at this pic on Facebook. It’s from my town. The place where she is just posted asking for cat food and stuff too :(

Then do a post on this, ask for donations with a link — people on here help with this stuff.

Misread 'adopt' as 'abort' and was very concerned for a moment

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Road tirp!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

In maine it is RIDICULOUSLY difficult to find housing that allows dogs, specially large dogs :(

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why? You can see pupper has been eating it's emotions.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My twin!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That breaks my heart

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Shadow told you to stop fucking off, Chance!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

in the shelter because its either high maintenance or aggressive and the current shelter refuses to send it away to be killed*

Pits have a terrible rep. But for good reason. The have a potential for their skull to slightly press on their brain 8n a certain area>>>

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

And that area controls aggressive behavior. Not all pits will have the potential. And a lot comes down to training and treatment. So with >>

That, they have a reputation. But these dogs are incredibly smart and loving. Very loyal and loving. I have a pit/lab mix and she is the>>>

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Best dog Ive had in my life and she is probably the 10th dog. She wants to love and play with everyone and obeys very well. Its Situational.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Poor thing. This breed has a bad reputation unfortunately

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

My husky is Moody and bipolar...it makes me less judgemental about pit bulls but even more cautious.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Breed as a reputation for being tough, d-bags and trash are attracted to that image, fuck up the dogs, and the breed pays :(

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

20+ year pit bull breeder here. If a pit bull cannot be trusted around children it should be put down, no exceptions.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 7

Stop fucking breeding more. There aren't enough homes as it is.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

shes a staffy not a pitbull and maybe children mistreated her in the past and shes scared of them

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Staffy is a Pitbull. Pitbull is a term for several breads. Look it up.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That sounds so awful. Can you explain why you feel like that? Because I'd think if it is in a childless home it should be fine.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I don't agree/disagree: reasoning might be if it escapes the yard unattended it might attack a child.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Where in Maine? Contact info?

7 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 6

Not far from me, but I’ve already got a pooch and a kitty

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And it also says prefers a home without kids. That’s gonna narrow it down even more.

7 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

I have a cat, live alone. Mangmnt won't allow her. I past info to my 27yr old son. I could foster her or dog sit whenever wanted/needed!

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

almost 4 yrs!, someone adopt her, what a sweet face.

7 years ago | Likes 563 Dislikes 2

I would but I have a kid and two cats

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*braces for downvotes* this is why kill shlters still exist. People won't adopt that dog because it's old, and likely has attitude 1/

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 25

Which would be why it hasn't been adopted. There are dogs on the streets that could be in that dog's spot in the home who would get adopted

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 20

And remove her from her home and residence of 4years.

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 59

Lol what are you even defending here? Keep dogs in shelters without an owner forever?

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 6

Sarcasm is lost on you. You must be fun at parties...

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 21

Without a sarcasm marker the comment could be serious, people write the weirdest things. See also Poe's law

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I would im just in Missouri

7 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

ROADTRIP!

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I’ll pick her up and meet you half way. I live in Maine and it breaks my heart :(

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Me and my wife have a small fairly protective dog and want to have kids so she just isn’t a good fit for me right now. Plus small house

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Your username seems inaccurate, considering the length you've had that account.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You can change the username though

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don’t like my username tho....
