Culinary school 2015. That is a 2XL Jacket, I was 285lbs. Not my heaviest. That title was earned in January 2017 at a heftychonk 310lbs.

213lbs this morning, down to a Medium chef jacket!
I know I made a post about weightloss a month ago, but we're down 12lbs from then!

Here's a slowmo omelette flip for everyone!

#3 slower, you slut.

Does this mean you become a worse chef?

Well done good sir I think you look amazing :)

Dam son, nice V shape. Be proud of your hard work

Ok, and no offense here, but I’m pretty sure the first pic is a woman. If the goal was to shed that conception, well-Fucking-done.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ha! I thought you were a chick, based on the first pic

Came here to write something similar... but great job. Keep it up @op

Impressed with the hard work in getting healthier. Super impressed with the omelet flipping skills.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn, you got hot! Of course I misread the title as “update on weightlessness” and thought you were the first chef in space but umm...yeah.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy shit I need to call NASA. Omelette flip in Spaaaaaaaace

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can someone recommend an omelette pan?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Teflon works wonders, use 1/2 tbsp of butter per 2 eggs, cheers!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10/10 would do

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, you cute @op

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Went from adorkable to delicious. Which sounds weird but eh.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude looks pretty buffed tho

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lookin good there, man. That's some serious dedication.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When its literally your job to eat all day. Good job man.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Thank you! It's tough when I have to taste every element of a dish before it goes to the table. But regular excersize and lots of water

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice. Quality takes effort. But good food and some nookie makes it all worth it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok who thought I was being dick? Hell who thought I was wrong? Any good chef tries EVERYTHING (.). and op must have been ...proficient.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

BUT HOW DO YOU FLIP THE OMELETTE?!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

By flipping many and failing! The amount of times I've tossed an omelette out of the pan is more than I care to numerate lol

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have been trying for years D:

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not trying to be a jerk but why is that an omelette and not a frittata?

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

Fold it in half.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I just read all the comments above yours. I thought I was an ass. I guess I learned a little perspective just now.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Frittatas you cook your veg in your pan, add the eggs and bake it on the oven. Omelettes are folded and cooked stovetop

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That flip.

Your username...based on Fair to Midland or Jungle Book?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A short story from the Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. Favourite book as a child.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Figured it would have to be that or the song by Fair to Midland :)

Hey @OP, I am starting my first job as a cook in two to three weeks, any advice? I love cooking and gathering information about food and

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Preparing it, but I've only been a waitress so far, never worked in a kitchen

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only been cooking at home.. am supposed to nake breakfast food and then asian food the rest of the day

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Be ready to learn. Sharp knives, sharp mind, and keep it going one plate at a time. Focus on knife technique before speed. Speed will come

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Line manager here. Come in with a good mindset. Look for something to do. But most of BE CLEAN!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh and try to cook a new dish at home one a week. It helps a lot.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take regular short breaks & drink a glass of water each time. You will quickly lose focus if you dehydrate or spend too long concentrating.

Buy these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/QUALICARE-CATERING-EXTENTION-PLASTERS-DRESSINGS/dp/B01AWP91OS and get a bluetooth speaker/spotify

Bring a notebook & write down recipes you have to learn. If a daily staff meal is prepared ask to make it, no pressure & honest criticism.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't be an asshat or tolerate asshattery. TV Chef insults/drama in a real workplace will ruin your life. Leave a kitchen like that, fast.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And have fun <3

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Double impressive since you're around delicious food. Now make sure to keep it off. I went from 310 to 188 and then ballooned up to over 400

7 years ago | Likes 109 Dislikes 1

Oh, that's not good. Did you lose it again?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nope. Been sitting on it for about a decade now.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never got that, like when you see you're starting to put the weight back on, doesn't that make you want to go back to your diet?

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Also, once you know you can lose the weight because you did it before, it's not that much of a motivating challenge anymore.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

dude have you even tasted butter? It's so butter...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can't speak for this dude's own experience but it all boils down to mental health for me. I can look like Superman and still eat my feelings

7 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Bingo. Depression + food I was depriving myself of.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I've gained so much back. I really need to figure out a way to stop the person enabling/ sabotaging me. It's hard to diet when they bring 1

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Home $20 of junk food every night then whines about food and money going to waste

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bring home $20 worth of veggies and blame him/her for that going to waste.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's hard when you're a couple.. my mother gets through it by being away all the time. She works such a hectic schedule and literally

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Has to meal.prep in order to feed herself lol. On the weekends or her days off she just resists the urge and keeps the gym in her mind.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I liked how I looked and felt after losing the weight but then a bad breakup happened and depression set in. I kept convincing myself that

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I could keep eating the junk for a while and stop whenever I wanted and diet again. One more week turned into one month into one year.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Fucking this!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Plus, I've realized my eating is an addiction. I crave a cold Coke and a burger like other people do cigarettes or a drink.
