A Brazilian cherry middle, with maple, cherry, and walnut border. ~500sqft
This was after prep, and vacuuming.
The painters hadn't covered the floor since they knew we were coming.
But still these are some dirty floors.
My co-worker putting down some finish
I know they are just floors, and people will walk on them, but I'm proud to spend all day making them look good.
Thought all you lovely people would enjoy it a little
Master bedroom of a mansion. Brazilian cherry parquet. ~200 sqft

That floor gave me hardwood

Nothing beats a good wooden floor, I can't wait to replace some of the carpet with it on my house!
kythorn
Nice work
gringissimo
Those are some nice floors.
linkshacker89
I didn't know I needed to see that.

GG OP. I've "helped" someone sand and buff a renovated parquet floor. Dedication and experience required.
AlonzoMoselyFBI
@OP kitchen designer here, just curious how you did the walnut/maple/cherry inlay on #1 was that all by hand? Beautiful work, btw. all of it

For the non- moon unit countries (which is about 95% of humans), 500 ft² ≈ 46 m² and 200 ft² ≈ 19 m²

A good floor can take a decently lit room to having that perfect glow. Great job!
thanksforthat
Would it be cool if I pm'd you some photos & questions about my wood floors? Wondering if they can be saved.
Klanmamma
Beautiful floors, but get rid of the dog tax :P

I sell propane and propane accessories.

My family and I stained our floors after ripping off the carpet. Sadly now the top laywer flakes off to the smallest pressure even chairs.
pronpronpronohmy
Any advice OP? I've got this problem too.
IMaedThisForYou
I feel like floors that shiny are only acceptable in chinese restaurants and Trump hotels. I just don't find it appealing at all.
hoxanator
Maybe I won't rip up my parquet if it can one day look that nice.
FireFighter1977
I've heard it's hard to find Brazilian with a cherry center intact...
cheezburgerzandchill
+1 for having a practical and beautiful skill.
BarnibusSwarleyStinson
Yeah it's whelming
anataakiX34
Looks so good. Doggo seems to disagree? "Floor too slippy now"
MiikkaCatPurrSoft
I'd be interested to see how the parquet is laid. Is each square assembled previously or laid in small pieces? A

What is the cost to do this per square foot?
steptj
Damn @OP, that's some nice work. I do a bit of remodel work myself, nice to see quality.
MamaKin
Really nice work!! I've refinished wood floors. It's one of my favorite parts of renovating! One of my in-laws does this for his living.
saintjimmy43
Nice install. Good graphics.
JinxJynx
So how much do these things usually cost?
drizzling
Does it stay that shiny?
Guy97
This is right after we lay down the first or second coat. So it's gonna look a lot more shiny, have more depth or more protective layers.
Sumciak
Please make another post with more pictures, I love seeing stuff like this.

Doot!
NotAnIroningBoard
Can I ask some advice? I have an old gym school floor in my house and it's worn as fuck - how can I make it beautiful again? Pm me!
squintish

NotAnIroningBoard

wakeandbakedonutking

Dat reflection tho...

Wood ya look at that!
oynsy
What finish do you use? Looks great
Guy97
We recommend a Glistka semi-gloss. Gives it a good shine, and adds more depth than the regular gloss. I prefer the satin finish myself.
WasThatAFartOrAShart
When I was in construction, I always made sure to mention a satin finish. Even semi-gloss is too much for me on a floor. Nice pics, BTW.
Gumby507
Where are you based out of? I just bought a house and need flooring done.

Ahh, too far from me. Thanks.

Good to know, thanks - I have 1200sq ft of 90 year old pine (I think) to redo this next year sometime

Bona Poly Satin for performance/price. Gloss and semi gloss are more unforgiving to subsequent damage (they show scratches more). Nice work!
hetjr
Beautiful! Commenting to come back and reference later. We just bought a house with a lot of hardwood floors.

I used sadolin pv67 on my dining room floor, great finish but the fumes were really nasty, what is the Glistka like? Thanks
jrblast
You may want to look into a respirator with an organic filter cartridge.
Guy97
The fumes will always be bad, trust me. Some people can stand it some can't. Most finished are at par with each also. Differences aren't big
oynsy
Ok, thank you
