Boelen’s pythons normally look like this. They like in New Guinea mountains.

This is a Boelen’s python to be specific. One of the most gorgeous snake species

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not a white lipped?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those don’t have the white markings on the body, only the labial markings

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A mystery wrapped in an enigma.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope noodle

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Alliteration... I like what you did there.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You mixed danger noodle and nope rope I am disappointed.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Nope rope*

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's pretty neat, but what I wanna know is how that guy moves around with balls that massive.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most likely a somewhat domesticated snake used to human interaction so is very chill with being touched.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tamed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a Boelen’s python, too small to kill someone. Even the larger python that have the prowess to kill people rarely do so.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@themajesticharpyeagle Morelia boeleni: possibly the most beautiful constrictor species

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

the holy grail of pythons. second by white lipped

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also Holy Grail is indeed appropriate for this species

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean that whole genus is gorgeous if we're being honest.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep. Carpet pythons have some cool markings, and GTPs are vivid green.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amethystine pythons are nice as well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In a different genus (Simalia) now

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PETTING BIG SNAKES, IT IS FUN!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Danger noodles are actually pretty cute when they re not the bitty, but hug rather tightly variety

8 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 5

Yes we are.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pythons have puppy-like faces.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Also look great in hats.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Extra face-holes though

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm curious as to how pythons are dangerous to humans. Or, if they're not, how really large snakes like anacondas are. Could I be safe >

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Only the very largest species are potentially dangerous and even those rarely kill people, though you should still take precautions

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They have the strength to kill people. It’s just that they aren’t aggressive animals and are chill for the most part.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

if I had squeeze-proof clothing? Like some sort of band around the torso and neck? Could I safely handle large snakes like that?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

It’s just better to have someone else with you. One person can’t get out of the coils of a 18+ foot snake, but a pair can.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bro I let a 16 foot long reticulated python rest on my shoulders wearing normal street clothes. She was sweet as sugar. Just keep em fed

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It would have to be incredibly strong material because they squeeze add enough to break bone. Essentially many snakes are calm enough that 1

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

You can handle. But you need lots of training to know proper handling techniques and the signs to watch that they aren't happy and want 2

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

To hurt you. 3
