Good job! That birb was totally farked otherwise, would never have survived. Too far from dry land. I love stories like this.
HighMagosSquidward
How did he know the eagle was out there, I wonder? Seems far to hear or see
Ejo60
Hero!
OuchCS
lolalika1764
Wow! How did he even find it? But what a rescue! Brave n bold!
RHFiesling

AsAnItalianItsDifficultTalkingOnTheWebCauseIcantUseMyHands
Great people
kyzentun
Preventing dinosaur fossilization.
dingofdong
Unless there's a whole load more silt suddenly dumped on top, it's more likely to be preventing more silt tbh
I didn't know Poland had fields of mud. Which is, I suppose, a type of marsh/swamp?
FlamedLion
Like ww1 mud
Crazyaussiecanadian
Why didn't they use the helicopter they used for filming?
whiskeyface
They used a drone.
CouchCarrot
Yeah, but what direction does he have to g- oh, never mind, there's a white arrow.
Mityguy
I mean bird rescue aside. This dude's skin is about to be so exfoliated from the mud bath
bluesun68
100 meters of quicksand mud? No thanks.
DeimosBarret
Looks like it's thankfully not that deep though. On the return trip you can see he can dig his heels into solid ground. Still do not want.
LtHungSolo
Toss a coin to your witcher!
nj23dublin
If it was a cat.. it would have just ran back to safety as soon he was within 2 feet of rescue
Good grief, I thought that eagle was an otter at first, it's absolutely caked in mud the poor thing
JersTrickyLittleEleanor
How did he even see this bird?
FreakyFerguson
Who the fuck is filming this
transientmind
Drones, these days.
animationaviation9000
looks like an oil spill
BenGoodal
“Look bird, this is a truce, if you don’t bite and peck the shit outta me I’ll save you, one nibble and you’re fried fucking chicken though”
itzujones1
Amazing
KaBar41
Wow, that poor eagle was really tired. No squawking at being grabbed, attempted wing smacks or pecks. Poor dude was basically dead.
DimensionMaster
"Fuck, this is it, they're gonna eat me... They're, feeding me? What the hell is goin' on here?"
acme64
"they're fattening me up to eat me later!"
Ploty
I think this hero doesn't wear a cape...
InsertUnimaginativeUsernameHere
That doesn't look like mud... More like an oil spill...
wobblecopterrrr
Probably an estuary, the mud is pretty vile.
ra1nfield
can we get a full video?
LoftheDesert
This is like the 6th time I've seen this this week.
spudpicker
Where have I seen mud like that before? Oh . . . oh no.
EliDLight
Oh man, I’m gonna cry

Whatswrongwiththispicture
Looks like a water level drop at a lake. Silt-like quicksand. Been in that stuff before. Not a nice experience
Selerox
I think that might be an estuary. You can get huge tidal drops, so this would fit pretty well.
parabolic000
Thick silt is fucking terrifying. Kind of lovely in theory, but those tiny fucking particles...
Xeddius
I'm pretty sure this is the crap that smells like... well... crap, right?
titaniumsnail
Well it's highly nutritious. Plants love that shit.
Cal1te
Yup, there are a couple of beaches like that near where I am with fairly deadly tides.
WilltheAdequate
Good thing they had multiple professional camera rigs and a DRONE when he just happened to see the eagle.
GrumpyGrumbo
Or you know, the people with the drone are the ones that actually SAW the eagle in the first place and that’s why they’re there.
genericanamoly
Those mid flats are normally undisturbed like fresh snow. By the bird looks to be a wing trail, and was probably struggling/screeching 1/
for quite awhile. Always hard to tell how these people find animals like this though.
ColbyWolf
I mean, if this is something that happens whenever the water level drops, it's easy to be prepared.
Also, doing a small bit of research, dude is a nature photographer, and there was actually a lot of other people helping too, so...
I bet this is the dad of those kids that "saved" the puppy in oil.
