Being told this as an apprentice by the master electrician I work for was the confidence boost I needed. The PVC work I posted on Friday was what he looked at today.

Edit: Here's the PVC, since I've been asked https://imgur.com/gallery/OWAwunu

Also a rainbow to top the morning off!

FP Edit: Holy hell! First time on the FP!

I’m a GC, and I’d LOVE it if my crew was better than me at trim or framing.

I remember my welding instructor bumped my arm once when I was laying down a decent aluminum bead, said it was "too good"

Oof, that's how you know you're doing well.

My 19 yo son is currently apprenticing / working as an electrician for a ME. He's about 5 months away from having the hours for journeyman.

I might’ve used an LR instead of an LB, but that’s entirely based on preference and availability. That’s some mighty fine work

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually, now that I think about it. The LB was probably the better option anyway

What a great mentor too!

That’s proper bossing. Well done bud

The buildings makes the shape of an arrow down!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Ha ha only serious." -- boss probably.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The response to that is to say,"Well, I didn't learn it all by myself."

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dang dawg. You need to flag that link as NSFW with that pipework. Fuckn hell, you're going to get us all in trouble for under achieving! ?

My man, it's conduit. That bar is set p low lol. But yeah I guess it's cool you can attach the conduit in a straight line...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I know it's not a high bar, but getting acknowledged for good work is better than nothing. It's tough when you only hear, "You fucked up"

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shit dude I'm a journeyman, you'll never not hear that phrase. It just comes with the industry.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying you shouldn't hear it, no shit you need to know when you fucked up, when it's *just* the bad without the good is fatiguing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Takes a real journeyman to say that too. Good on ya!

I mean if he's the one who taught OP how to do it. He can still take credit for it. So the pride can work its way out to be ok with it.

Seems more just like the guy was making a joke. he seems like a good guy either way though.
