Sadly, this was the NORM established in American politics. A lot of people just don't get that. The infrastructure and mindset was that Israel is America's closest ally and will be unconditionally supported. It's hard to break that. Old Biden just wasn't up for the task of doing that. BUT... we were getting there. A huge relief effort for Palestinians was an indicator. I think Harris would've put up much pressure as Israel kept obstructing those efforts.

I'm sorry. I voted for the man myself, and for Kamala in 2024. But, "No Lying?" His campaign (and then Kamala's) repeatedly and loudly promised that--regardless of the outcome of the 2024 elections--no Presidential pardons would be given to Hunter Biden or anyone associated with him. Biden was unfortunately anchored down in the many decades long position of providing unquestioning support to Israel. In the USA a very strong lobby emerged to help maintain that... and so when Israel kept encroaching on Palestinian land and undermining their position, the USA kept silent. And the price paid... is what happened in October of 2023.
But Trump wasn't going to do it any better. Only worse. How people could not see that...
