Louie is almost 9 months old. Yesterday morning we were playing a very lazy game of fetch and retrieve but it turned out to be a really special moment between us when he started to understand the concept if the game. Enjoy!

My retriever turns 7 in April and still has no idea she's supposed to bring things back.

I never taught my husky how to fetch. I was mind blown when she did it the first time I ever threw a ball to her.
lizpterodactyl
taught my golden to do this when he was a puppy. We played up until he was an old man.He would ask to play by randomly rolling the ball at u

Screw all that running stuff- dog probably

Aww, my shepherd likes to kick balls over to you so you can throw it for him. Millennial dogs and their human antics...

Can someone post the gif of the wiener dog loading his tennis ball into the machine that throws it?

I trained my dog to swat at the ball with his arms back in the day. I'd roll the ball and he'd have this huge smile every time I did it.

Yeah, a really special moment that you were filming. Shut down the camera, people, and live your life in the moment.
jermbly
OP filmed it so they could relive the moment and share it with others. Don't you have special moments you wish you could share or relive?
pterodactylptime
Ya, I have a brain that can remember those moments. If I'm busy holding a camera, I'm not IN the moment, I'm busy filming.

This comic makes me automatically assume all dogs would talk in a thick Russian accent..

I accidentally tought my dog to fetch. I just stood in the middle of a field and had two tennis balls. Throw one then tell them to come (1)
cerberus63
And throw the second one the opposite direction when they get close. Do that until they get used to it and then you can just play fetch.

I would throw a stick for my dog and she would only carry it halfway back, so I had to always do more exercise than I wanted. lol
cerberus63
Mine taunts me. She runs right up to get me to chase her.
