Is being a Hollywood star even worth it? Every one of them took some deal before birth that made sure they'd suffer in fantastic ways for their popularity and fortune.
See that custom wheelchair he’s in? Average disabled in need of the same chair has to crowdsource fundraise thousands of dollars to get one even slightly close to that nice and that’s even folks in countries with UH of some kind. So yeah, as shit as life can get for them, if they don’t blow it all on drugs and baby oil, or have some tragic ending, they’ll live a comfortable older life. And that’s just the 1/1000th of actors who become “famous”.
There's a post that says you can tell a lot about a person by their favorite Tim Curry movie.
Out of numerous excellent roles to pick from, my personal favorite is Clue.
This exchange isn't the most iconic from the movie, but I love it.
Does it count if I didn't know it was Tim Curry? His role as the monster in It would be the one, otherwise The Three Musketeers would be the first one I remember it being him.
His portrayal of Cardinal Richelieu was masterful. Also the one character he despises the most out of his repertoire and was glad when he could finally leave him behind.
Legend, he was luxurious evil incarnate oozing with cruel, elegant intent. the movie was a fever dream to my pre-teen mind and the menace he brought was amazing
This would be a prize goal of cosplay. No idea how to approach it even after toning my body to do it. There’s so much from the poise to the attitude, all before you even get to the technical challenge of the horns.
Being high on cough syrup with codeine in 10th grade and watching that on a bootleg tape with little bits of commercials as transitions was my 10th grade fever dream. My girlfriend and I kissed so hard when I got back from 2 weeks in bed. Good times.
i can't remember the movie but its the one where he plays the devil or a demon with huge horns and fucking young tom cruise is the ML. Can't remember what its called and the movie feels like a fever dream.
I was 18 when I saw it. We had a cinema in our town that showed "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" every night for years; the audience dressed up, and it was a blast. Tim Curry was brilliant and so sexy!
First airing on TV in Germany I sneaked the small portable b/w TV in my room and watched it under my blanket, the volume very low. I was 15, the movie stuck with me.
I was 12, sneaking out to go to 1am showings every Saturday night where folks dressed the parts and acted their fav scene out in front of a small stage in front of of the projection screen. I was asked to hold a bone in my mouth and act like a dog, my bestie smashed jello on her white t-cover boobs. Like Hazing! What the heck? Lol Best crowd of friends & good times going to see Rocky every week I’ve ever had my whole life! Tim Curry is a god and I love him.
Rumor has it they wanted him to redo the song "Toxic Love" because he was too damn sexy the first time, but he refused. And I refuse to look it up to see if that's true or not, because that's become my headcanon after hearing about it years ago.

He does have a few albums out, as he mentioned; they’re definitely worth tracking down… he did a great cover of ‘Take Me; I’m Yours’ on one of them.
