My initial reaction was "that's sweet" but then thought it's cute and all but in the end the dog is keeping the man from getting helped
the man's on a stretcher going to the hospital, how is the dog preventing the man from getting help, you can see he was comforted by the dog
He’s on a backboard which means he needs to be kept fairly still to protect his spine and not jarred around by a dog jumping on him
The same way a hysterical family member or friend might hold up medical staff from administering or relocating a patient when they refuse
to remove themselves from the situation. There is nothing they (or in this case the dog) can do and therefore are in the way.

was getting a trach tube stuck down his throat, or an IV, or anything, the dog would think you are killing him and probably defend in kind.
I try to take homeless people’s dogs with us. They’re generally well-behaved and probably don’t have anyone else to look after them. 1/2
