Bottlecap Gyarados

Entered a Recycled Art Contest. Theme was deep sea creatures. Why not Pokémon?

Made tail out of broken CD and playing card. Began folding bottle caps in half and gluing to wire coat hanger.

Pro tip: save your skin, wear work gloves if you're going to work with metal of any size.

Different angle. Yes, I've vacuumed after this.

Body almost complete. Messy work station. I don't really have room to craft other than my bedroom floor.

First try at face. I liked eye piece and mouth, but not the rest. Looks more like tiki mask since it's flat. Later realized I did the teeth wrong.

Finally finished.
Decided upon a more 3D 3D head design. Fins were done similar to tail and glued inside of head. Don't ask how it's attached - I'm not too sure myself.

Different angle while trying to decide upon stand. Was going to cover the coat hanger in blue wrappers to mimic waves, but found a broken kitchen timer than worked better.

I think it looks kind of derpy, but love him anyways.

Components: bottle caps, coat hanger, playing cards, rubber bands, cd, Pepsi can, can tabs, rubber bands (tail accent and whiskers?), gift card (teeth), cd cover (mouth), and the shell of a kitchen timer (base). Lots of glue.
It's about a foot long to fit within contest regulations. Tbh, don't know what i would've done if bigger.
There were two entries, but they have this contest every year and were still very pleased with it.
No, I didn't drink all that beer myself. I don't even like beer.
