There are definitely exceptions but all pugs/frenchies I know have very bad breathing issues :( my neighbours dog can't even play fetch

It takes a loooong time to find a good breeder. But tell them you want to see their last litter, it's a good way to filter out greeders.
I have a retro mop pug and he has had zero health issues. Runs around, plays, has a great life.
