#1 didn't they make that trauma a huge focus of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier? They bring up the blip in a lot of post blip content but the entire premise of Falcon and Winter Soldier is the aftermath of the blip.

#3: Got to the rating of cool or 'toit' and at that second word my first thought was "godamnit Peralta."

#9 I've never left during any credits. I just saw Sinners for the second time last night and people were standing up the second the first credit came on. And then those absolute fools, those despicable untrainable morons, kept walking out when the first interstitial credit scene played! Other people walked out during the longer credits and by the end it was only my wife and I and one other couple who saw the final scene.

#4 just watched the trailer because of this meme. I just hope it's a good movie at this point

#10 I read this as his character from what we do in the shadows, before reading the recast wolverine thing. I just assumed since sabertooth and him are both immortal, they kinda know each other, and he wanted to go fuck sabretooth, poundtown

#8 I want more of this!

#1, not setting a movie/show during the blip is a huge mistake. To me, that would be an incredible time to introduce a smaller scale hero. Off the top of my head, do a Jessica Jones series. In a world that is suddenly full of missing people, it would be interesting to follow a private investigator.

just make it a bunch of episodes of piles of dust

Hell, I would have taken a 60 minute in-universe mini documentary on how the world handled the blip. We basically just jump right past all of it when things are still broken but society has mostly recollected itself, but how they do it would be interesting.

Probably not a lot of comic source for it, at a guess. Rebuilding is hard, and can kind of make working through a setting a slog. I can see authors wanting to avoid it.

That's kinda what Jessica Jones was, though. They made indirect mention of the top tier heroes but none of them made any appearances.

Yes, but just like they brought back Daredevil, I think they should do the same with Jessica Jones. Her series were fairly well received and the actress has expressed a desire to return. I think her perspective would provide a great look at how most people are handling the blip.

I recall someone from one of the spiderman movies (I think) where they revealed that their partner pretended to be blipped and ran off with an affair partner. Something like that sounds right up Jessica's alley.

I think there was a Jessica Jones series on Netflix.

You're right, and it was pretty good (at least I think seasons 1 & 3 were good). I think they should bring her back, sort of like how they've brought back the Netflix Daredevil.

#9 tbf there was this ONE movie where they didn't have any post credits scene

Are they even adding anything anymore for people not heavily invested in the MCU? As a casual viewer I feel an unspoken "If you don't get this, that's your own fault for not having watched five different unrelated movies and three shows." that is getting increasingly louder.

#1 Yeah, the whole thing gave me a story setting idea. Alien invasion was 5 years ago, but aliens wanted livestock, not resources, asteroids are richer and easier to mine after all. So naturally, they want to keep us healthy and put an end to wars and such, but they just grab people whenever they feel like. Now it's normal. "Fred vanished, must have been taken. Can you work overtime?" And since our weapons do nothing, it just.. happens.

"They blew up all of the mcdonalds in a 10 mile radius, but we found massive crates of these vegitable like things." Or "they dissolved the military because really.. whats the point? They just take them first if they ever even start to mobilise, but at least unemployment is still down." All normal statments now.

The problem is the plot within the setting. Maybe something along the lines of one person trying to find a way to prove to the aliens that we are intelligent. Only for them to go, "we know, we just dont care." But i can't see that ending in any other way than tragedy.

#10: Read it in normal voice, at first. Unimpressed. Slightly confused. Scrolled down an inch and then read it again in matt berry voice. Much better.

"Why yes, welcome to the Princess Bar. I am, of course, regular human bartender, James Howlett. Notice my eyepatch. I'm certainly not this Wolverine fellow you mentioned. He doesn't even have this kick ass eyepatch."

Short guys deserve to be represented in superhero movies, too.

I like Jared Keeson (I know, a little too tall) or Daniel Radcliffe for the role. Or maybe. A complete unknown. Do you have anybody in particular that you're hoping for?

I just wanna see someone short.

#1 you have too. Wallowing in trauma just perpetuates it. Accept it happened. Accept you can't change what happened. Start healing. Start doing things differently.

The expectation, though, is that "doing things differently" should on balance be a positive thing. In the cinematic universe, things just go back to how they were before without any significant changes. In real life, we've rolled the clocks back to the 1930s/40s. I'd argue the world is doing a lot of wallowing.

Do things differently is on an individual basism

I think you touched on cognitive malfunction that's plaguing modern times, though. Too much identifying by groups has led to some sneaky group think. You can only change yourself.
