Does every English speaking country other than the US have this term? Does it mean he's only liable if bonded?

Holy shit did that guy get out of the truck just before it went over?

Step one before righting a car, engage the parking break. Is that his first day on the job?

Could be a damaged brake line, or the lever somehow screwed up. That said he should have taken SOME precaution.

So? A parking break is mechanical. You could be leaking break fluid all over the road and your parking break will still work.

The actual, physical cable from the parking brake can snap. That's what I mean by "line." I was imprecise, I admit.

I feel like in this situation, it would be easier and safer to attach clamps to the wheels or something.

What you feel and what is procedure are two different things.
