8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The second movie I ever owned on vhs. ET was the first.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

First was the land before time for me and this 2nd too

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you have an old VHS copy of that flick and pause it at just the right time, you can see Jessica Rabbit's vagene

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

or I can just type "Jessica Rabbit" in a hentai foundry search. Much easier.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but.... I need to feel special for having something old and semi rare, so..

Makers is good for a cheaper whiskey. If you can find Black Bull 40 year, try it. The 7 year sucked, the 40 was great

Maybe for you and I but maybe not for others

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're bouillon cubes. Flavors the whiskey

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I have some plastic ice cubes you put in the freezer, they make your drink cold without diluting the drink. Looks just like that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can post a pic if needed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Balls of steel...in a different shape.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've wondered at that potential for hitting your teeth with those things. The a slug, lose a tooth.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

It's a solid one

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are whiskey stones made out of harmless lead

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

"Harmless" lead...

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

"lead" harmless..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are stainless steel. Those or "whiskey stones" allow you to chill the drink without watering it down

8 years ago | Likes 172 Dislikes 2

They are also really good at chipping your teeth if your not careful

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't put chunks of butter in your whisky?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would the steel not taint the taste of the drink?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They also work great for treating 2nd burns without putting a stop to the soldering.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have them and no they don't work well at all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Steel is conductive and cold steel wouldn’t absorb much heat. Granite would be good I’d think.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't the point of ice to open up the whiskey (pretty sure that's the point of ice in (scotch) whisky). If not, why not chill the whiskey?

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

I’m also curious...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A dropper amount of filtered room temp water is enough to open up a whisky(ey). Ice can ruin a good scotch. Really depends on how u like it.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Agreed but I like my scotch cooled a bit. I find it spreads the flavour profile. Rocks are really good at this with a few drops of water

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if you like chilled scotch try buying glasses with thick bases and freezing them before pouring in liquor. thicker base holds cold better.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes, however its the water the brings the oils to the surface of SOME whiskeys, not all of them benefit from the added water 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and if the bar tender has a degree of knowledge of what kind hes serving he will choose to add water or not if hes using stones

What's the other school of thought? Whiskey chilled by metal stones > refridgerated whiskey?

H2O reacts with the alcohol and “ opens” the bouquet

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I use them in conjunction with water because you only need a little water, not 1 ice cubes worth, to release the flavors. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

If it is a brand I would consider drinkinh chilled, though. Stones or ice help keep it cooled. Prefer chilled glasses if available. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I do the same, ice works but its harder to control the mix. I'm rather scientific about it and i bring the alc% to 35% with water and rocks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Alot of whiskey drinkers use stainless steel or granite blocks from the freezer to avoid watered down drinks.

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

A lot of whiskey drinkers are animals

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why not just keep the bottle in the fridge?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

I prefer my drink to be at room temperature, if guests want ice or cold granite that's their choice.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy... holy shit.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

One bottle sure. But if you have a dozen+ bottles, you probably can't (or don't want to) refrigerate them all.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wine fridges are common and cheap.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While certainly widely available, I wouldn't say they were common. Anecdotal, but I don't know anyone that owns one. And while Kegerators /1
