These anta have always fascinated me. My old biology books and field guides would talk about how other ants would find them in the tunnels, and basically tickle them until they secreted some food. Yknow like when a buddy makes you laugh so hard that milk comes out of your nose, and then the buddy drinks the milk, because hey, free milk.

I'm not sure they would with fluid inside. A lot of resin preservation relies on the object being dehydrated. Otherwise the water separates from the object in some way or another over time (rot, breakdown, etc)
