I bought a set of German-made rare earth fishtank cleaning magnets. They slammed closed on my ring finger and crushed the bone.

I heard if it's too strong of a magnet it can crack the glass too. Depends on the glass.
Inch and a half acrylic. It's why I needed the strongest magnets I could find. Even those proved inadequate.
