Using magnetic to clean both side of the window at once

But, I'd have to open the curtains and blinds to do that!...

But what happens to the people living below? Now they have soapy water dripping down their windows

Nah, I've got bad luck with bad magnets. The other one will fall off if I try it.

Welcome to how my dad cleaned the aquarium in the 80s

I too saw this in exhibitions in the 80s and 90s

The trouble with magnets is that the distance between them has to be very precise in order to not come apart or crush the window. Pull >

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

>strength changes rapidly with distance, so windows of different thicknesses won't work

Er.. fishtank cleaner?

Same thing i was thinking. We be in a gigantic aquarium.

For sure, great to use when something in the tank can bite!

I bought a set of German-made rare earth fishtank cleaning magnets. They slammed closed on my ring finger and crushed the bone.

I heard if it's too strong of a magnet it can crack the glass too. Depends on the glass.

Inch and a half acrylic. It's why I needed the strongest magnets I could find. Even those proved inadequate.

Works only in video!

I've been brewing an idea for something like this, only motorized, for my car windshield (inside is annoying to clean)

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

id buy it! fuck i want to pay someone to clean it now, i never get it perfect

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I bought one, was totally shit.

Hopefully industrial ones use stronger magnets, and good quality plastics and sponges

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honest question - why does it not work?

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Because I’ve made tons of life hacks videos for my channels

He cleaned clean window!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

magnet is not strong enough to apply enough force to actually clean the window.

I imagine the type/thickness of the glass matters a lot. Aren't windows constructed differently in colder/warmer climates?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Does the one on the other side also fall?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Could be why the string is kept inside of the window.
