I can ALWAYS appreciate an amazing Goodwill find.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Envy the find...coming from a guy scraping to find good suits on sale between $100-$200.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Once I found a (probably fake) slate blue 3 piece Christian Dior suit at Goodwill. Should have bought it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is AMAZING! Nothing more satisfying than a great quality thrift find, huh? I LOVE IT!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks good. Shoulders fit, maybe take a little in on the waist.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fellow thrifter I salute you

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Excellent find!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

this is fucking awesome!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OP feel free to button whichever button you want and wear it however you want! Be free to be different!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How refreshing to hear. +1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well now I'm really jealous

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I use to find the best leather jackets at thrift stores.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Goodwill finds are the best finds!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I approve lol I love those findings when i go there

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So...you could say you were Goodwill Hunting?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh snap!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very nice suit but badly needs tailoring. Will look fucking dope with work from a good tailor.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 6

Now that is a super find! I will echo the other commenters, if you get that tailored it will be fab on you!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 Ralph Lauren suits at goodwill?? Wtf are they haunted by the ghost of a homicidal accountant

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some were much nicer than the ones i got but i couldnt fit my dad bod in the pants

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These are just the ones with correct shoulders for me! I went to four stores hunting and i found dozens of high end suits...DOZENS!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shit I been doing it all wrong fuck the mall I'm going goodwill suit hunting

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Upvote for not being a total selfie. Also the suits pretty great.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That means a lot, especially considering your username. So, thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Button top button not bottom.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This made me laugh. Kinda having a rough day so thanks for that. +1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Protip: @OP is actually Sean Spicer. Even without tailoring, still looks good. Better than a lot of guys in the office.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aw thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree. for a special occasion, a really well-fitted suit looks great, but I like my daily suit a little bit looser.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get these changes: shorter jacket length, no "break" in pants. Also, don't ever button bottom button. Only top button should be buttoned

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

then why the hell is there a bottom button?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why in the hell do men have nipples??? ... well guess what? Men aren't supposed to button those either

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Seriously, listen to this! Also, get a tie clip. Shouldn't set you back more than $25 and they look super classy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why I fucking hate suits, so many damn rules and adjustments. If it werent for societal norms I'd be in a t shirt and jeans

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I knew there was a button rule, its just been so long since i wore a suit i couldnt remember.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Bottom: never. Top: always*. Middle: sometimes, personal choice. *unless you're sitting down, then it can be undone.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never understood why. Sitting down yes unbutton or it all bunches up and you look like a child, but standing, why not button it?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a traditional thing from one of the King George's who was so fat he couldn't button it up. It became the style from that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So they're just designed that way now I guess. It irritates the hell out of my engineer's mind.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Now spend $100 at a tailor to have them perfectly fitted and you'll look like you spent a grand on a custom suit. Great find!

9 years ago | Likes 773 Dislikes 2

This, or grow a couple of inches.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That ship has long sailed

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It fits across the shoulders so shouldn't need much - sleeves, waist, legs and maybe cut-away. Awesome find @op

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Exactly. The shoulders are my main concern when picking a used jacket. Everything else is an easy fix.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yeah this definitely needs serious tailoring

9 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 10

You sound like my mother.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I had literally just got home from goodwill....

9 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 6

That idiot sounds like my mom. She said that to me when I got my wedding dress. Like fuck. You think they just magically fit.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 10

No mercy.

9 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 1

Lol for real. I should have known better and put that i am aware in the original post

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

if my years on imgur have taught me anything, never post a suit that doesn't fit, or any steak you've cooked. someone will say it's burnt

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Get it fitted (Doesn't need much) and post it again including total cost, amazing buy now but once it's fitted it'd be perfect!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It'll also wear better if you button the top button and *never* the bottom.

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

Yeah i knew there was a button rule i just couldnt remember at the time.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Sometimes (For 3 button), Always, Never :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why is that?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Almost all suits are designed to accentuate the ideal male figure - that is a V shaped torso. The lapels are designed to meet at the point/1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That happens. Buttoning the bottom button only caused the top of the coat to sag and the bottom to overlap or lie strangely. /2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Buttoning both turns the V into a tube shape, making your shoulders look thinner and your waist bigger.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok... sorry, I guess I shouldn't have asked. I'm female, so that doesnt apply to my jackets?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just for the record...I REALIZE IT HASNT BEEN TAILORED YET I HAD JUST GOT HOME FROM PURCHASING IT

9 years ago | Likes 368 Dislikes 4

wow which one did u go to!? pm me!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You can probably leave the jacket in the top pic alone, it looks fine

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Cool story but please post pictures after tailoring! Its what the people want.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a tailor, please spend the money on someone decent to do the work. I've seen people absolutely butcher clothes who are cheap

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

good thing there's so many "nice guys" on this site so you have ample advice on how to be classy

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Hey I'm an asshole, nevering claiming to be nice. I just work in a professional field and see too many men wearing shrink wrapped suits.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

@op Square toe shoes with rubber soles can take away from ur sleek outfit. If u ever want fashion tips with a women's touch, i got u homie

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone with tailored goodwill suits in my closet, thats very forgivable, understand the excitement

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its almost as if i titled it "LOOK AT THESE PERFECTLY FITTING SUITS I FOUND"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Itd be more alarming if they fit that well. A body twin somewhere with great taste but terrible clothes disposal methods

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

get some new shoes while your at it lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah i know. Those are ancient with dog bites all over. Just put them on for the pic

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i'm just playing with you haha those suits are a great find

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tailored, sure. But don't go crazy. Men nowadays like to wear their suits shrink wrapped, like women's suits. Get a conservative cut.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 12

Lol getting downvoted by all these guys wearing suit coats with three quarter length sleeves and high water pants.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I like a slightly slimmer fit, but I can't stand the crease when it gets buttoned. I just don't get how that looks good

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On this one i will probably only shorten the sleeves. The brown one will need much more.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pants need work.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Hey @op you should probably go get those suits tailored ;)

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Wuts tailord meen?

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

you get a free tail tailored to your suit

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

lol like every other comment is telling op this as if he wasn't already gonna do it

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

From one thrifter to another... those are great finds!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

These finds may or may not have sparked an obsession

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Looks great! I highly recommend getting it tailored though. (just trolling you - I know it's been said 130x already). =)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've bought probably 30 cashmere sweaters, and15 pairs of work jeans. The salvation army is my jam.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The thrift shop I go to has 1€ days every three months. I've bought new (still with tags) clothes there that originally sold for €€€.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Omg i found a hugo boss suit with tags still on yesterday as well. jacket fit damn near perfectly but the pants...ill never be small enough.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only every few months?goodwills around here change their 99 cent tag color every week, and pick another color to be half off. Its like a

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Treasure hunt. Crab catching pot 99 cents last week.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only 3 shops here here are run by charities. Most are places where people rent spaces for a week. You can always find a good bargain though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of my best finds was a Burberry wool coat for 25€. Seller marked it down from 120€ to 90€ then to 50€. Found it marked down by 50%.
