I tipped $10 on one pizza and wings.

Don't prank people by ordering for I.C. weiner

I’d love to, but I don’t have that kind of money.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I understand your situation, which is why I usually cook my own food, being a chef helps ^^

My delivery guy said it was the deadest NYE he's seen, and he's been doing it for years.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In south fl rn, it’s not like the purge

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Worked last night and ended up being kept 2 hours over my shift, was not a happy camper.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It’s pretty dead on the streets in my town. I was out about 1/2 an hour ago. The streets look like the human race disappeared.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I pay for delivery & pizza. The salary of the employees is the employers responsibility. Usa is such a 3rd world country in that case, too.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

Just to win

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We were going to get delivery but there's a 15% surcharge... brother in law is braving the weather to pick it up instead

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As a delivery driver, I can say that you are doing God’s work

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My rule of thumb is if I wouldn't go out in that weather, I'm not ordering out and making someone else go out in it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was tipped champagne back in 2003 when I drove for papa johns. I drank it and drove :/ young and dumb

7 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 8

I'll drink to that brother

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

I mean a small glass isnt gonna impair you right?

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I was thinking they meant an entire bottle, now I'm not sure which is more likely.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, employers should pay/treat their staff better. The burden of paying an employee shouldn't be on the consumer.

7 years ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 14

Agreed. Customer service in Japan is 100x better than the US. Is the salary versus tipping a coincidence?

7 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

It's actually possible to agree with both viewpoints. You shouldn't order from an exploitative business if you're not going to tip.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Said no tipped employee, ever.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

I agree but not tipping someone isn't going to change that or screw anyone over besides the person you're not tipping.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

It may seem stupid but it allows unskilled workers to bring home decent salaries. I know service workers who earn better than professionals

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 21

That just means the system is more broken. A basic wage paid regularly and reliably by the employer would he better than tipping.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

I wholeheartedly agree, but even if employers are paying employees a decent wage I think it's still a good idea to tip someone going (1/2)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

above and beyond like this, then again I work in food service so maybe I'm biased.

Me too $10 for a dominos guy who is only 5 mins down the road.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nothings open past 10 on new years in my town , food wise

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Made less than 10% driving lyft. I'm not bitching. The service (maybe me ) varies from day to day, person to person

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Speakingnas a driver for an independent delivery service, I am SO glad my bosses just laughed and said 'nope' for the 31st and 1st.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I just got home from working at jimmy John's and a guy called drunk to ask me how my day was and to wish me a happy new year

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never understood this logic. Should you pay more at the emergency room on New year's because it is hell in there too? Everyone's job

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Has harder/busier days than others. Get over it.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

As a delivery driver, thank you for helping me earn bank tonight. It was worth it.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Worked 9 hours last night delivering for pizza hut. Only two of the tips were nice. The rest were nothing. And it was a huge snowstorm. Perf

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree though that employers should just pay better in general. I make 5 dollar an hour so without tips I couldn't even afford rent alone.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I waited over an hour to get food for someone, drove pretty far, and got a $3 tip...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I delivered tonight and didnt make shit. We got slaughtered and everyone was just pissy. I get that you want it fast but it was storming

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Being hangry sure will increase the entitlement and ignorance. And then they take it out on the lowest wage earner like that fixes anything.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"People, what a bunch of bastards."

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m a delivery driver. Most tips have been shit since Christmas. Everyone is feeling cheap now. Makes me thankful for those that do tip well

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Agreed. Only exceptions was last Friday and NYE here. I made $109 on the former and $77 the latter. Enough to score new wheels and tires.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I made a good amount NYE only because those who did tip, tipped well. Still a lot who didn’t tip at all

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh for sure. And people who don’t tip really should get their own pizza. We’re doing them a favor by delivering in our personal vehicle.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These days I usually tip between £2-3, if there is a party its usually £1 per head, my deliveries usually come pretty quick. Good service.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't know what you consider a decent tip, but when I was a delivery driver (about 15 years ago) £1 was decent, but we had decent wages. >

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Since Christmas, I’d say over half my deliveries haven’t tipped at all

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just got home from the bar. I tipped 200% and scribbled merry christmas. I feel good... but probably from the liquor more than the tip.

7 years ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 5

Chaotic good.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They took good care of you. You took care of them. Good karma going into the new year!

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

I tipped $10 on a $6 drink but that was after I (completely sober, no booze yet) knocked my first one over....

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would be funny if they cut you off for knocking the drink over.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a hospitality worker, You the fuckin man. If your ever in nyc lemme buy you a drink at my bar

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Thanks bud! What exactly is your role as a "hospitality worker"? At my last job I had to run a hospitality focus group for P&G.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I’m a manager now, served for a long time. Love it when people take care of my staff.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in south florida rn, its like the purge out there

7 years ago | Likes 220 Dislikes 3

You should tip your UPS drivers as well. We dont brave the elements for nothing!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tuesday already? Blimey times goes fast these days

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got some great pizza at primanti Bros on fort Lauderdale beach around 2am

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Primanti bros after a night out is amazing. Best drunk food ever.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hello from the west coast! It’s not my problem yet lol

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is that someone on bath salts riding a gator into battle.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bathelgato shall be their name

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Their steed shall be Scaley Steve.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tip in restaurants because you get the service and connection with the staff, I don’t tip delivery drivers.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 9

Delivery drivers deliver to tippers first, its a surprisingly common occurrence.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Where I order in the UK you can’t tip when you purchase online so that’s not a problem.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I literally just tipped my driver, I live in the UK and ordered online.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congratulations? Service I used doesn’t give option. Sue me.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You'll be hearing from my Lawyer.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

People are such cunts. When I ordered pizza on Memorial Day of all holidays, I was apparently the only one who tipped that girl that day.

7 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 10

No way

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, and it was a busy day too given that the wait time was double that of usual. I fuckin hate people, and will never work for tips now.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That’s what she said, so that you gave her a big tip

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's true, both my sister and I did the same when we were delivery drivers.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Was it via postmates or grub hub etc?

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

It was just a standard order from Little Caesars.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

But it’s HOT and it’s READY

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

It still needs to be delivered and that day actually was blistering here....

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They deliver? But... it won’t be hot and ready. You’ll taste the cardboard

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1
