I didn't realize it had been released. Thanks!
squelcheswetly
I’m trying to hold out for the 1.0 release. :| So far away.
taurondir
Hidden feature in BG3 where in multiplayer, when a character being played dies, the Devs hunt and kill the real player for continuity.
WKBetafiggit
Absolute loved 1&2; haven't tried 3 so far, yet.
Duskz
To note, 3 is in early access, it is not a full release. For anyone wondering. Estimated full release @ Oct 2021.
Igoligirl
I heard it's shaping up to be a good game. Good for you making some friends! At this point I've made all of my friends playing video games
StarmineRendezvous
Thanks to this post, I will end up emulating Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance some time soon. Good times. Level 1 extreme difficulty round 2?
VodkaReindeer
You are allowed to play DOS games alone.
MFWthisUSERnameISNTtaken
yo legit, i NEVER see anyone on the multiplayer, like how the heck did you find ppl? I almost feel like im doing it wrong
AiRonnie
A few days ago I got really excited that BG3 is out. Then I remembered that I have 2 toddlers, so playing games is postponed for 2030
Freak0zoid
I know nothing of this game. But I’ll d&d 5e with you if needed and possible.
sunny9052
You have my axe!

We named our daughter Imoen. ;-)

I should apply for a job with the guys who make it.

One of two games I’ve ever returned
Zefram86
You can try looking for some D&D groups online on forums like r/lfg and r/foundrylfg.
mytruepersonality
Yo is it a great game and should i get it even thought its $59.99 or wait for it to eventually go on sale at 20% off
ShadeEmberi
I am waiting until they actually finish the game and not a glorified buggy demo
ARealDjentleman
I still play BG 1 & 2. Gonna wait for BG3 to release v1.0 before I get it.
circlebreaker
Same, some of them are so bad they're like E.T. Even the official release date versions of games are buggy and in need of patches now.
SqueekyB
Baldurs gate shouldnt need the reason EA is there, for small studios to get help testing. Larian isnt a little fish, and full retail for EA
AeonQuasars
Im so looking forward to BG3, I fully belive in Larian to deliver. But I refuse to buy or play half finish games. Full release or nothing.
Kittynomnoms
Yeah, they're pretty open about it not being finished. Pretty much a play testing if you buy now; they're taking user feedback into account.
Sure sure. I know. That's why I wait. I want the full experience when first playing a game. Not bugs and unfinish narrative.
Crustypeanut
I can't wait to get that game! Its one I feel will be better at releease instead of early access, so i'ma wait.
BryanLaserEpee
I've heard Solasta is a good game for scratching that itch as well
KZFDG
Hit me up if you ever find people to play DND with. I'm game and looking to start somewhere too.

ADHDFox
Hey! I love bg3. Add me if you're ever wanting to play.
Flametide
I kinda wanna get it and play with you just because of all the hype now. Ive been good and not bought preorders for years though...
yo i'd be down to play when my computer gets fixed, i couldnt find any1 to play online with
TheSeventhPoint
It's such an amazing game, even if it isn't finished. It might honestly end up as my most played game
fembot42
I bought it when it was first available but haven't played it in a while bc it was so buggy. how is it now?
We’re going to play every Saturday for a couple hours. I am playing Pathfinder: King maker for my solo experience.
RunicRasol
BG3 has been good to me so far, even if it has more bugs than an anthill At the moment.
I have 120 hours in the early access and I've honestly only encountered one or two bugs that mattered. Most of them are just weird.
Only have about 8 hours in myself. Found a couple crashes, and LOTS of graphics glitches. The ragdoll system needs some work.
Not that its a bad game. I actually like what Ive seen so far. Bit I look forward to a more stable build
Most of what I've seen has been weird shit with the ragdoll. I think I've had two crashes overall. Weird.

Oldie but a goodie
SaveitforQueenDoppelpoppolus
it launched in early access six months ago
They were probably thinking about the original (1998) or BGII and misread it.
nowheressomethingwehopeyoullreallylike
There series is an oldie but goodie
bg2 is definitely oldie but goodie though, and you can get it on your phone now!
You should play Divinity: Original Sin 2 if you havent. It's on sale right now if you dont have it. Same studio, & less glitchy than BG3.
TheKoolEagle
I beat that last year with a friend of mine, it took us 95 hours ?
NorthRex
Oh I have it. Can't wait.
leteshi
I found the magic/physical defense in Original Sin 2 game braking annoying :(( Why did they think it was a good idea?
alex5775
I kinda liked it. Added a little more strategy, especially because of the status effects that require a certain type of armor to be gone.
toewsy
Is BG3 turn-based too? I played the shit outta both Divinities but now I'm looking for something with a realtime combat system
SugaryBonemeal
Pathfinder: Kingmaker is the same kind of isometric RPG, and you can swap between real time (with pausing) or turn-based. Even mid-battle.
AngelWithTheScabbedWings
Pillars of eternity 1 and 2 are amazing if you're looking for real time combat and haven't played them
TheDoctorCrankenstein
Highly recommend Pillars and the Deadfire sequel. Also Tides of Numinera if you were a Planescape fan.
Cool, is it mulitplayer? You know what, I'll check it out either way, thanks!
Not multi-player, but still very good
Same general combat system. More D&D elements. A bit rough around the edges, but so was D:OS2 when it was early on.
lowerider777
It's so worth noting BG3 is in early access

scarloclorne
That’s awesome! How is 3? I have not played since 1.
PeteThePerv
My god, man! BG1 was a proof of concept. BG2 was the real thing.
SomeScienceGuy
I haven’t played any, I want to now tho
It’s still in early access and needs a lot of work, but ifs any indication, I have very high hopes for the finished game.
ZvNh
I am really loving it. Even with the early access flaws still present. High hopes for the finished game. Could be the best RPG out there atm
It's a lot of fun, but the game is definitely not finished (very early access). If you buy it now you're basically play testing.
wargnome
3 is amazing. gonna be epic once its finished. tbf, its expensive for early access but it delivers with story, voice, and graphics.
mcglirkymeow
What? BG2 was the best of the bunch!
BISHPLEEASE
I'm nostalgic as hell for bg2 and it's fucking great. But it got nothing against 3.
3 is amazing. The voice acting is great.
Beefkins
It's worth it just to push people off cliffs.
Radix865
I'd recommend that you wait till it comes out of early access, and instead get BG 1 & 2 enhanced editions while doing so.
Oppsynini
I loved that game back in the day. I wish it was for xbox
ImCommanderShepardandthisismyfavoritepostonthefrontpage

I too want to know, I usually spend less than $30 on a new game but it sure looks good
Just be prepared to Save and rest after every encounter at first. I've not saved and been wiped multiple times and it can be... frustrating
But the story and world are very good so far
It's not finished but it's amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better video game representation of 5e mechanics

It feels like remaking Planescape: Torment into a battle royale.

I don't agree. Sure, it's close, but bg3 is on another level imo
It looks better, but it plays very similarly to DOS. It even brought a lot of the elemental/trap shit over but without the DOS spells to
deal with them. Like fire cantrips leaving pools of fire, exploding barrels, and then no rain spell to put out the fire. It's a weird mix
Well it's the same creators. But it plays ALOT better than Divinity imo...

What's available is really good, albeit a bit buggy at times. I'm trying hard not to wear myself out on it, but I've still done it like 8
times and only on the eighth time through did I finish discovering all of the major points of interest. The game seems pretty intent on
letting you follow your own path and providing the game world as options to getting where you want to be rather than requirements.
Only the first part of the game is available yet though, so there's a long road of Early Access yet to come.
