chiropractors = pseudoscience. They are NOT Medical Dr's. Safer, and will do just as much good, to howl at the moon.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Remember: They're not doctors. You ... should probably just skip them entirely. Get a massage or see a real doctor.

Snake oil and placebo. Also, rarely, deadly placebo.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chiropractors are the biggest load of shit. There is no medical basis for their methods, and they do damage to an alarming number of people

Who's necks?

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I think there's a few videos out there of people having their backs broken by cowboys like this. it's savage.

As someone who just recently had neck surgery. Pass.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you think a chiropractor is helping you, here's the truth: you're just paying someone to just do whatever the fuck they want.

Neurosurgery nurse here. Never let a chiropractor do neck “adjustments”. It’s real easy to tear your vertebral artery and stroke out half

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Your brain. I’ve had to do too many surgeries to count on patients that had neck adjustments from chiropractors.

See a DO, not a chiropractor

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Most do far more harm than good.None actually fix an issue

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

This literally kills people. Go to a PT, he does everything a chiro does, just better and safer. Not this tho, this causes heart attacks.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

If YouTube chiropractors have shown me anything..its that all the problem originate in the ass area, especially in women..... /s

Now imagine the ones who aren’t being filmed

Why do people go to chiropractors at all?

This kills people.

Carrrrrrl

I have treated a bunch of patients who suffered vertebral artery dissections and strokes after chiropractor neck manipulation. Avoid it

4 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 2

On the other hand, a chiropractor solved my Mom's chronic migraines temporarily after a decade of suffering... So yeah

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The second I see it on a patient's chart I go ahead and order the CTA

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Yup, I've read similar horror stories as well. If it looks incredibly dangerous, then maybe it is.

My doctor gave me the best advice. Go see the chiropractor if you want/must but NEVER let them touch your neck.

protec da nec

My chiropractor strongly discourages the quick neck snap and uses a tapping device to help my herniated discs. He's helped my pain go down.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

There are good/legit ones who focus on myofascial release which is evidence based. It should be used in conjuncture of MD care, not in place

I visited a chiropracter for a bad back who made it 10x worse. His excuse? 'I popped your bones to where they should be and you're (1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

not used to it yet'' (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you want to get help like this from an actually certified medical professional, go to a physiotherapist, not a chiropractor. For /1

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

things like this, one trained in manual therapy - when I went, they helped me loosen my neck by holding my head steady and had ME move /2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

my head using my own neck muscles. Wrenching the neck is a sure-fire way to injure someone badly, and they said as much. /3

Chiropractors are scam artist. Never met one that was safe and cared about well being. Only in it for the money.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I had one yell at me and kick me out of his office for not committing and paying for a full year worth of treatment upfront.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I said I would commit to 8 treatments but that wasn’t good enough for him.

Social status too. Even in the clip above, if you watch the full video the sexual tension is real.

The mother of an ex GF was paralyzed like this.Tingling that night, paralyzed by morning.Had 2b fed.I stopped getting chiropractic bc of it

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Really? That's horrifying. So it wasn't instant? What caused the paralysis?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It had happened a cpl years b4 we met.Ex told me her mom went for routine neck adjustment, had weird tingling that night, woke up paralyzed

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I guess the chiropractor pinched a nerve in her neck

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

“Woke up paralyzed” are three words you never want to see together ?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Seriously. I would like to avoid the word "paralyzed" in any context

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chiropractors aren't medical professionals. They're as evidence/science based as homeopathy and climate-change denial.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Wierd mine has her Medical degree on her wall along with 3 or 4 other medical degrees.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 9

Yeah....if it was a real medical degree there's only one mate

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can get degrees in almost anything, including homeopathy. Also, there are antivaxx doctors and nurses, so an MD doesn't prove sanity.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair. I still trust when a medical doctor has their phd doctorate of medicine though.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Your shouldn't when the science didn't back them

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At the end of the day, it’s not that all medical doctors (MDs) should be blindly trusted. It’s that they are the best we have to confide in.
