The amount of rotoscope this guy had to do is bonkers in itself, but also...look at those shadows. They are all quite long. Even a time difference of a few min would change the lighting dramatically. I wonder if he came out over multiple days and did 1 take a day, at that exact time, in a different outfit.
Or maybe the shadows are CGI. Which is by itself quite an accomplishment, since it wouldn't be as trivial as just cutting out the guy and skewing the cutout. To quote the Doctor, "the shadow of a shoe isn't shaped like a shoe".
I was thinking it would be harder to find 6 friends who would learn oldschool dancing for a clip, than it would be to just clone yourself in after effects
