Omg I haven’t thought of cinnamon toast in forever. I picked the wrong day to start my diet

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How is this struggling!? They literally fucking made a cereal out of this!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I accidentally made this with sugar and cumin once...I still have nightmares about it sometimes.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The struggle here is only getting one piece. This dude has 3!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still eat this shit

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My nephew (aged about 5 then) once asked me if Grandma had invented "Cine-gar" when I was little, or if she had invented it later.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh man, how have I forgotten this!?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make some today!

Just let the gen z think it’s a struggle because then they’re going to find something more retarded to gripe about

Sausages in bread: hard times in America, just another Saturday at Bunnings in Australia.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scrub, i keep a spice container full of the right ratio of sugar and cinnamon for this very purpose

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

French toast is no struggle. It is the breakfast of kings.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is cinnamon toast.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The breakfast of viscounts.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My sister modified this by subbing cocoa powder for the cinnamon. Turned out pretty good but cinnamon toast is where it's at.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used a hot chocolate packet once! It was okay-ish. I thought I was being brilliant. Lol

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Adapt. Overcome. Survive.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Use tortillas instead

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yaaaaas!! Was looking for this!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

TIL one of my favorite breakfast treats as a 33 year old man is a struggle meal.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When you are eating paper plates you can talk to me about struggling

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I'd go with the boots first, probably more calories

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Had this for dinner last night on purpose.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ever had work for breakfast and lunch, then sleep for dinner?

7 years ago | Likes 405 Dislikes 3

Ah, yes. And if I’m feeling truly naughty I’ll have a bread sandwich paired with my sleep. Magnifico.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Sleep for dinner! In the undergrooouuund.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've always been able to afford coffee somewhere in there. That's like well off in Millennial, so I'm going quite well...

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sometimes yeah, with a cup of applesauce somewhere in the middle.

7 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

I usually fit a bowl of ice in for lunch

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

But have you had sleep for breakfast lunch and dinner?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No because I always get bills for dessert.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One benefit of working in OT every week in a restaurant.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every day.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dunk it in hot chocolate.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why are you poor people trying to appropriate my cinnamon toast? You can keep your ketchup bread or w.e the hell you riff raff eat.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I haven’t had it in 35 years. I can imagine the taste of that sweet delicacy like it was yesterday. Dinner? Slap a slice of kraft on bread.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always thought 'broiled cheese bread' was a treat. Realized later Mom had run out of money between paychecks...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just think it’s what the common folk ate. I remember spam with pineapple and a slice if cheese on top, then broiled. FANCY!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sweet fancy Moses, I forgot about this. I loved making this to eat.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"sweet fancy Moses", that's a new phrase to me, I may borrow this

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/IgjLWCquKFE one of my favorite clips. Not sure if you're a Seinfeld fan, but I heard it first here. Sorry for poor quality

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahaha how did I forget that was from that episode?!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can taste this picture.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And it tastes delicious.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

what is this

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

peanut butter & crack sandwich

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Type 2 diabetes

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I’m 33 and I still make this for myself. Cinnamon toast is awesome

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I reckon i would puke

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Me too! But only bread butter and sugar, no cinnamon. Only children eat this stuff?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too. :)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What kind of spoiled monster thinks this is a struggle meal?

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

It costs pennies to make and has high caloric value. Idk what you think struggle meal is. Tap water?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Struggle meal is when you don't have sugar or cinnamon to put on the bread. Bread and Water is a struggle meal.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I lived on plain ramen for awhile. This post is not a 'struggle'.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The meal in the post cost like 10 cents that’s cheaper than most ramen

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

looks like a peanut butter and crack sandwich to me

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What struggle? That's buttered toast with cinnamon and sugar and I'll fight anyone that says that shit isn't fucking lit. Loved it as a kid.

7 years ago | Likes 797 Dislikes 4

try it on a tortilla!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cant people just say it tastes nice

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

No. And I'll fight anyone that says I can't say shit is lit.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

You are free to say it, I disagree. Never liked it as a kid, but I’ve never liked butter. Bleh

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

I will fight anyone that's says I'm free to say anything.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I eat it now, if I want to. Had it a couple weeks ago as a lunch, just because I was craving it. Damn good eats, my dude.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My bf realized we could make it as adults and got SO excited. It was adorable. 6'2" man grinning like a goon over toast

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My grandma used to put powdered strawberry nesquik on our butter toast. It was phenomenal.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And if you’re feeling punk and in need of a little TLC - hot tea, cinnamon toast, slide back into bed. Consume smugly, recuperate happily.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love it as an adult!!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mom used to make it with cinnamon and honey. Always a good morning when I woke up to that for breakfast.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love it now.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's lit on the tongue, but atrocious on the gut. Loved it as a kid.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's good, yeah, but if that's your entire meal? All you eat for that portion of the day? Maybe all you have to look forward to later?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ll help you fight them because it’s certified good fucking eats

7 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 2

The real struggle is not eating a whole loaf of buttery sugarry cinnamon goodness in one sitting.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah!!!!!!

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's an American thing, isn't it? I want to try.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I used to make the toast, butter it, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar, and put it back in the toaster on top brown only. Then it carmalizes.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

white bread, toast it to your liking, butter, cinnamon sugar. done deal.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup. French toast. Bread dipped in a mix of .I'll and vanilla, then fried in a pan of butter and topped with cinnamon sugar.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

That's not French toast in the post though. Just cinnamon sugar toast.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

whoops; cell and i didn't enlarge.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's amazing. Also putting sugar and cinnamon on pie crust and cooking it in the oven is so freaking good.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess? Isn't it fairly close to what some Kiwis eat called fairy bread? Which is, I think, buttered toast and sprinkles?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ooohhh

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dunk that bread in beaten egg first then fry and put cinnamon and powdered sugar on it.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I made it for my kids and they don't really like it. They love cinnamon toast though.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You mean french toast/eggy bread/ golden bread?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah the best way to eat cinnamon in bread.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's so delicious!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also works well with maple syrup.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If maple syrup wasn't so expensive here I'd be all over that.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you have cinnamon and sugar and a paper towel, plus bread that is the right color and not a single end piece in sight...yeah totes struggle

7 years ago | Likes 401 Dislikes 27

Don’t forget they have butter too lol

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Where da butter

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Totes

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

totes are plastic containers usually with a steel cage around them used for the transport of chemicals 275 gals or 330 gals

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thank you. Real struggle is bread bread sandwich maybe with some ketchup if you are lucky

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

I grew up on food stamps and trips to the food bank. Sugar, bread & butter were common items, cinnamon twice a year. Paper towels are cheap.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

End pieces are fucking awesome, are you saying end piece = struggle?

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

in the suburbs with soccer moms perhaps

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most people think the end pieces are trash. They are wrong, but that just means more bread for me.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

It's quite common, especially among kids, to dislike the crust on bread. It's only something I ever did because my mom made us use it all.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I love it when people don't eat them and you go to make a sandwich and get the glorious double crust

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You were lucky to have a corridor! There were 150 of us living in a shoebox in the middle of the road!

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

you had a box? Lucky you

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"You have $0.15 worth of stuff? Doesn't look like struggle to me"

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

As someone who used to eat this, there was never a time in my life where it wasn't cause it was fricking delicious.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I've also been down to the point that I ate lots of Ramen to save money, so yeah, cinnamon-sugar toast is not part of the "struggle".

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

You realize the meal in the photo is cheaper than ramen right?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's that got to do with anything? When I was struggling, the struggle was about making choices to survive, rather than on what I wanted.
