I'm still jaded from the first switch and the drift issues that were never resolved on the earliest units. I'll likely get a Switch 2 but not on the first production run. Maybe a Christmas bundle.
Why would you pre-order a switch 2? The only way for them to back out of their insanity, is if people don't roll over to their stupid pricing horseshit.
Because finding one on launch day will be nearly impossible with the demand. People are already selling their pre-orders on eBay upwards of $700-$800. Also tariffs could further increase the price after launch.
Okay, but why go through any of that for a game system, launch day or not? Heck, most consoles are devoid of games for a few years before they build up a library big enough to justify a purchase

I'd only get a switch if I could mod it to run VLC. Otherwise, I'd be better off getting something similar from MSI.

Fuck Nintendo. Don't let nostalgia blind you.

Why are you preordering it?

They still didn't switch to hall effect on the Switch 2.

I'm doing my part! I didn't buy the first switch, I don't particularly need the 2nd one (but would kind of like it)

What insanity?

For example 10 euros extra for a Switch game on Switch 2, nothing different, you just have to pay extra. The outlandish prices in certain regions, far beyond just mere currency exchange rates, like the console costing equivalent to 692 dollars in México. Nintendo is trying to skin every last penny from everything they can. There's literally no reason for a game developed for switch to cost extra on switch 2, if there's no other differences.
