These are the Blue Velvet strain of Neocaridina Davidi. Same species as cherry reds, but a different coloring.

Not breeding could be due to a number of things. These at the same breed as cherry reds. Name slips my mind currently.

You can, but they only grow about an inch. So probably only good as seasoning? And they typically sell for at least $4 each. Expensive food!
