First I was angry for 0.2 sec but then I remembered that this pheasant had a much better life than most of the animals whose meat you buy.

Pheasant is probably my favorite protein

Your dogs carrying ducks and mine is rolling in and eating goose shit. Nice.

I have a question, do retrievers or dogs bred for getting birds pluck the bird once they have it? My puppy who is lab likes to “pluck” rope.

I didn’t know, my puppy could just be weird. She will pull at rope toys with her front teeth until it’s just strands of string.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least he didn't laugh at you

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Hard to tell with her snout not fully shown, but I’d say gsp

Look at my previous vid

I love how he puts it down and then starts to think about eating it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's son...

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

... so you're only plucking pheasants 'til the pheasant plucker comes?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I recall one pheasant hunting outfit where we shot three times and came home with four birds because the dog got one

Legendary

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Looks like pup is having pheasant tonight, then! Lol

4 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

A pheasant flew in front of the pheasant I was shooting, and so the shot pattern got both once when i was a kid. Biggest win ever.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol. They will do that.

Gah. Outing, not outfit

4 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

We liked outfit better. Too funny

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I, for one, was hoping to see the pheasant hunting outfit.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Imagine explaining the missing tags/stamps. No we didn't shoot an extra, dog got its own.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If memory serves, the one the dog got was the first of the day oh, so we came home with the appropriate number of birds

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

In my state at least you don't tag small game, you just obey the bag limits and pay through the nose if you get caught with too many.

I used to run dogs in Portland, one of my clients was some kind of nationally renowned for this kind of fetching ability.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was rented out & flown across the country with first-class service & accommodations during hunting season. He was the chillest

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

most well-behaved and adjusted dog I ever worked with.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had the same experience. The dog was possessive of just that one bird because it was his kill.

Dog will hunt...

Overhunting and climate change are real threats to many species. Perhaps y'all should lay off and allow them a chance to repopulate

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nice rooster you got there. I used to set up an annual pheasant hunt in Iowa, then Mitchell, South Dakota. Corn Palace FTW! Have fun!

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

What do you do with the pheasants after they've been killed? Just display them or do you actually eat them.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Pheasant is great, but how can someone have fun by hunting a bird so dumb u can almost catch with a stone is beyond me. Like hunting a dodo.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

At least dodos had a reason to not fear people. Pheasant is next level dumb

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Good dog!!! Nice retrieving! Did she poke it up also or was it training?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

She’s professionally trained.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ment if it was a training situation with a dead bird or if it was in hunt where she did the thing spaniels do, the searching?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actual hunt

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

She practices with pigeons

What the duck. Mind blown.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

On my TV you could also mask the duck in the corner where the gun couldn't get it. I drove my older sibling nuts doing that

They should have used the lamp trick, fight fire with fire.

This was one of the few things we did know when the NES first launched. The rest of those that didn't know found out in Nintendo Power.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It is literally in the manual, but no one reads those.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Same as P2 mashing the buttons in Mega Man 3 to keep P1 from falling into pits.

I love dogs with jobs, they look so happy and satisfied.

Can't tell you how much a difference a well trained dog makes in hunting, but it is night and day.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

They really don't make much money
