FWIW it's no longer even useful anymore. It was originally used to circumvent automatic tagging/censoring of certain kinds of content because people would understand it at a glance while machines would not.

It's very simple to record who voted without recording how they voted. This is how every election works, for example. Is your company respecting anonymity? Who knows, probably not. But this has nothing to do with it.
