Practicing in Iran if the midterms don't go their way.

Obama made the deal with on site inspections and safeguards. Thumb killed it, couldn't make a deal, because who in their right mind would trust anything he says.

Do your democrats not fight every time there's a vote and they vote 'no'? Arent they the minority party now? It would be nice if they had missiles of course....

The problem is they all get in a room and talk and find juuuust enough Democrats (often different ones each time) to pass R legislation. Look at many of the most controversial laws passed recently. Always 6ish Dems voting for it.

And pretty much all R's voting for it too, the detractors dont matter, and Id rather a favored party not vote like a braindead monolith. When your dems are in power, those detractors dont seem to matter, they pass the good legislation needed. 98% of fighting is still fighting. Shame the same cant be said of the rest of your general population, right?

I actually think this admin think Iran is just another Afghanistan. Like, they have already uttered their surprise against Irans navy. I'm guessing someone in the military informed them, but drumpf was already asleep by then.

'just another afghanistan' that kept us in for decades, but they were never burdened with an overabundance of schooling, or being told 'no'.

Right, because Afghanistan was such a smashing success

To be fair, their government was taken in a matter of weeks, it was the occupation and the attempt to set up a government that got screwed up. It really didn't help that attention and resources were diverted to Iraq for no good reason in 2003.

In Iran right now? They went in without a plan, and Iran's government is mocking ours on social media. Not even remotely the same situation.

Anybody classifying the war in afghanistan as a succes in any way except for the military industry doesnt know shit about the war in Afghanistan..en even less about Iran's capabilities. They made plans for every letter in the alphabet..usa couldnt even come up with B.
Except for Boy, they actually closed the straight

The initial campaign to depose the Afghan government went pretty well, it was the occupation that was a shit show. But you're absolutely correct that Iran is on a whole other level than Afghanistan. Iran has more resources, is better prepared, and occupies a much stronger position geographically. Plus, as bad as the planning was in Afghanistan, it was still better thought out than the "let's throw some planes at them, YOLO" approach that seems to be Trump's preferred strategem.

The Senate Democrats just stood firm on TSA funding until Senate Republicans cried Uncle and passed DHS funding minus ICE & CBP, something they'd been dead set against for weeks.

Then the House GOP rejected the parachute they were handed and now it's more clear than ever that Republicans own the long lines at the airports.

It's not often true, but there are occasions where the Democrats manage to make some meaningful resistance to the fascists.

And for every baby step they take, Fetterman has another stroke and moves us back.

Fetterman is one Senator. And the Senate measure passed by unanimous consent. Fetterman had the option to object and chose not to, just like every Republican.

Fetterman will be gone by 2029. He's not going to win his primary. He has no fundraising.

He's a problem to be sure, and if the Democrats get a strong majority this year in the Senate I hope they expel from the caucus, but he's not able to completely negate their efforts.
