the fruit seller and hedge trimmer wouldn't have taken a vacation, summer is usually their busiest time, especially late summer/early fall. The cooks wouldn't take vacation all at once and if the caretaker took a vacation they would have at least filled the fridge, or more likely gotten a temp. summer is when most yard maintenance occurs too.
The hedge trimmers tipped me off cause somehow(how? dunno) *every* non-apt maint crew i've seen has been distinctively not-white. Ice targets.

The mindset in the comic of us only fucking over ourselves is some of the most, ironically self-centered, copium-ass nonsense around.
