I’m not sure how expensive Kroger is, but I bought eggs today at Russ’s (slightly cheaper than HyVee usually but not by much) for $5.99 a dozen in Lincoln. I think it was a sale though because they were over $6 a bit ago.
Bird flu and with it being winter, egg production is naturally lower. If you have TikTok, Farming While Beige is quite educational on the egg industry with emphasis on sustainability.
Bird flu is part of it, the top egg manufacturers in the USA were caught running a price-fixing scheme last year, and I expect that any investigation/enforcement against them has halted.
So says the poll conducted by CBS who is being sued by Trump for $20B and wants to settle for normal editing of Harris tapes even though he hasn’t proven he was harmed by the videos
It's because the truth and news cycle has been destroyed. The only official news is positive. He's also doing a lot of good little things that most people like, while simultaneously stripping away peoples' rights, freedoms, and protections. The average person doesn't pay close enough attention or look far enough ahead to understand what's happening. We don't see it yet, but the consequences will be enormous, and they'll cheer for the distractions at the stadiums while their children starve.
Illustration: I know someone who is trying to defend trump and musk poorly or of this perception that these guys are doing things that are "good for business." When I bring up all the awful shit going down, he isn't aware of any of it. No information is on his radar except "increase govt efficiency+ reduced regulations = great business. This guy is living on disability, btw, so nothing benefits him.
The stuff for show. Banning Trans athletes, even though it's nit a big deal the bigots love it. The tariffs, they just see that Mexico/Canada backed down without realizing they didn't actually make any changes. Getting rid of surplus govt spending. If you don't look at what musk is actually doing it sounds good, no more $800 hammers. He's doing so much so quick it's impossible to explain to his fanbois how none of it is actually good or useful

For a long time now I've heard eggs are expensive in the us, but can someone please tell me why? It doesn't seem like the tariffs are helping?

After everything you've seen over the last decade, do you think the news outlets reporting convict Trump's approval ratings is being honest?
