Wouldn't be surprised if she started requiring they get facelifts too

Pathetically, whatever she says or does anymore is a not a surprise to anyone. It's her Calling Card.

And this is why governments like Finland have laws that govern WHERE and HOW government is allowed to purchase things.

In Finland this would be a bidding war and the winner takes the contract. Winner can't have any ties to the government officials who are to decide the contract...

In USA? This goes to someone who donated to the politicians...

Republicans stealing more of our money, news at 12.

Then they really WILL be the SS.

I have no problem with the government providing suits for the agents protecting its highest officials. The ones in the suits are supposed to be seen, so they are representing the nation, so they should look sharp at least. I do have a problem with Noem getting things that she wants. Like if it's something she wants, I don't want it to happen just because she wants it.

Maybe she should shove it.

But still no money to help vets and fix healthcare.

Lemme guess... Hugo Boss?

It will cost $100 million after a campaign donor gets the contract.

They will pay $100mil. It will cost $1mil

They are normally ill fitted for a reason. It’s hard to conceal a pdw in a tailored suit…

Who's gonna manufacture the fake arms?

Hugo Boss

I’m done with this. New recruits have had to pay for their own suits with their starting pay. I would figure these suits may need to be more limber given what they do.

That's not entirely true. Secret Service agents can receive up to a $500 clothing allowance per year. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/5/10209

That's like one cheap suit.

It's better than nothing and more than most federal employees get (which is often nothing).

Nothing like a tightly fitted suit when you need to be loose and flexible to save someone's life.

Tailored does not mean tightly fitted it means correctly fitted to the individuals proportions. They're cut to your body shape and allow for maximum movement unlike the "good enough" cuts of off the rack. I'm surprised they aren't tailored, so they must be altered. I don't agree with much of anything this administration has done but this is a good idea but for a really stupid reason. If you're curious about the other thing? scrapping the penny was a good idea.

what annoys me with the penny is they just set the number to produce to 0. So its technically still there.
Not like we can pass laws in this country anymore

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They don't need tailored fucking suits.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The US scrapped the penny?? When?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know? might not be the worst thing if it makes them worse at their job.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

it wouldn't hinder them. Tailored suits fit better and have a better range of motion than off the rack. Tailored does not mean tight it means cut to the shape of the person. Their reasoning is utterly moronic but the idea is oddly a good one. What can I say even a complete idiot will stumble on a good idea from time to time.

yup im not sure how john wick exists but there are still somehow people who think well fitting clothing must be stifling. Actually now that I think about it that probably comes from thinking that fitting->womenly->restricting

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

especially how many of them have intentionally bulky suits so they can wear fake arms, and have their real arms holding an smg under the coat at all times. gonna be a loooot harder to hide that when they are sleek and form fitting.

Is that actually what they do? Seems unnecessary. They are the SS, they could just openly carry them around. Be an obvious deterrant.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's about the image. Everyone knows they walk around with guns, but seeing them walking around with guns is different. It might scare a foreign dignitary.

I did Nazi that coming…

Hugo boss was objectively good at designing and dressing caricature of evil. He nailed the assignment. One of the greatest design successes since pants. I hate it when a piece of shit is good at their job.

They are called Jodhpurs, its an old cavalry design that dates back to India and was popularized in the 1890s Britain.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He didn't actually design the uniforms. Just manufactured them

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Sauce?

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And he only manufactured a small percentage of them, he's just the only name that people recognize.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd just like to assert my worthless opinion that those pants look ridiculous

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are called Jodhpurs, at least thats the style. Its mean for cavalry and yeah, they look stupid and silly.
