I disagree. I think that most of the most apparent traits about Zelda games are fundamentally in conflict with a good movie. Silent (well, dialog-free) protagonist, generally solitary atmosphere, lots of puzzles, items that'll either feel like a weird James Bond movie or like there are too many macguffins.
Mario going on a fun adventure is easy to turn into a movie, but I seriously doubt Zelda will translate as well.

If Red vs Blue taught me anything, good writing, a good universe and shit graphics can make a good product. If they made a Zelda movie in Wind Waker graphics, it could probably do good. Something stylized.

Sin City's a panel-for-panel and shot-for-shot translation of the comic so one-to-one that it doesn't even have a credited screenwriter, done by a maverick director who quit the guild to make it. Turning a dialog/narrative-lite and gameplay-heavy game like Zelda into a 90-120 min movie is a very, very different task.
Hard enough in a medium that easily supports LoZ's style like animation. Not sure why anyone would even want it to be live action.

Yeah that comparison doesnt really work, its the same story transitioning media, cant do that literally with a game. Zelda games are mostly action adventures, the story is there to push that gameplay (like the fancy abilities you generally can unlock), that doesn’t make a really compelling story to tell.
However, the franchise is full of usable lore ofcourse, theres definitely a movie or series worth of material there, but i doubt they’ll manage to do it justice

Sheik is acting as a double agent and, to quote the Zelda wiki, "Sheik is revealed to be Princess Zelda, who later explains that she had Impa lock her consciousness away and assume the disguise of a Sheikah boy." In order to really hide from Ganondorf, had to go to some extreme measures to keep Zelda safe.

I’m totally against this. We need Hugo Weaving. His portrayal of Elrond is the definitive expression of elven grace in film format…no one else will do it justice. Galadriel was way too over the top and Arwen too subdued - almost human. Either they cast Hugo Weaving or they have cancel it!!!!
