I will say that I'm woefully under informed about Gaza, but from everything that I have heard it always sounds like a city that is being brutally fucked 24/7 for the last few years and I'm surprised that there is ever ANYTHING left there at all. WaPo and AP are covering Israel's latest strikes. Don't know how much more "Western" you want. Al Jazeera is probably the best source for middle east news anyway.

I mean, even the tone in parts of the german media landscape is changing. On DW, they openly talk about how Israel never planned to move towards "phase 2" of the cease fire plan anyways. Those who know will know how unlikely that is.
Not the private channels, like WELT, but their parent company is involved with trading real estate in occupied settlements. They're even more rabit as ever, if anything.

I was specifically talking about the video. I haven't seen it there, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Al Jazeera is definitely the best coverage of Gaza, as they have consistently had reporters on the ground. I wouldn't look to them for criticism of royals, as they are state-owned by the a constitutional monarchy (Qatar). I still love AJ though. All newsrooms have biases and masters. I just think it's important that we're aware of the biases in the media we watch.

Al Jazeera was formed out of the core of BBC's first Arabic TV station, after that was shut down by the House of Al Saud, so good journalism is in its DNA.
