LOL, It's already starting on other mediums. I used to comment a lot on Yahoo. I guess not anymore. I did it for catharsis more than anything as it was really just a lot of stories and news. I noticed in the past two weeks it's really letting the GOP ratchet up what they say and allowing no counter narrative. And it's not like this is just me being unlucky. You can see what I wrote and usually my posts are flagged as bad within a minute or two and removed. If I am on sports or entertainment and talk about how great something is it's fine.
So if you thought the US wouldn't have our media controlled, we are already going that way with Twitter and Facebook. This happening on Yahoo is beyond strange though.

Wait, the people who were claiming everyone else was snowflakes were really the snowflakes all along???

They'll turn the world into Fox News, and then it won't matter how much the government sucks. They'll have everyone convinced it's Goldstei- I mean the Democrats' fault.

Yahoo for me has been saying that commenting has been disabled for years...
TheMoonBnuuy
The reason is because Trump has been saying he's going to shut down media companies who are critical of him.

Capitalists will reach for fascism in the blink of an eye.

Probably about as bad as being critical of democrats on Imgur

You realize being downvoted is not the same as the mods removing you right for listing a counter opinion with no bad words and just saying: "I cannot be critical of the DNC?". I mean I get that Imgur is very liberal. I have never seen Imgur mods just blindly remove right wing people's comments right away.
zanaria
I view it not so much as "being liberal" as "being sane".

Yahoo still exists?
djangojazz
Yeah so does the internet and search engines.
GiantFlyingLabia
I think they asked a pretty valid question. I use the internet every day and I probably haven’t visited Yahoo since 2009
