Video games usually trigger motion sickness for her, so tabletop is perfect. I've played so much Mechwarrior, and am excited to dive into playing the game that lead to it. Tex Talks Battletech encouraged a lot of interest to dive into it all.

I scored a the Beginner's Box and PDFs of other BT books from a Humble Bundle.

What do you mean? MW was most often FPS, with some third person games.
