The biggest hacks and data breaches of each year ranked by the number of people who had their data stolen

First off, I can't go without mentioning that the yahoo hack that is listed here (2013) at 1 billion has since been increased to an estimate of 3 billion people. EVERY. SINGLE. YAHOO. ACCOUNT was compromised.

The hacks that scare me the most are those where perpetrators were able to steal passport information, social security numbers, and even biometric data like fingerprints.

That and the "hacks" that weren't even hacks but someone accidentally publishing the info for everyone to see. How does someone ever make that mistake?! I'm looking at you Chile's Ministry of education.
