#4 me and my wife (the crazy childfree aunt and uncle) implemented a “you can hug us high five or just give a what’s up head nod, it’s your body you decide what you want.” We have 9 of them we have some that demand full swing around hugs and others that a side hug or high five is perfectly good. We established this early and let my siblings know as well.

My siblings do that with their kids, but the last time we saw my sister's kids they didn't want to come give hugs goodbye, and then the oldest cried for 15 minutes after we left because he didn't get a hug from his aunties lol
