Shrinky Dink D&D flat miniatures.

Shrinky Dink is a great crafting material providing your finished product is okay at the only thickness the material can achieve; "miniatures" are a great example. Unlike cardboard stand up minis, it can be trimmed closely to shape, allowing for complex silhouettes. Durability is good, although thin, long weapons are pushing the limits.

The material after tracing (I used mostly images from Goodman Games reissue of "the lost city"), coloring and trimming but before baking. For a 28mm mini, you want 7-9 CM height on the unbaked sheet.

Six minutes at 300* F later... (they say 3 mn but I find six is necessary)

Gobbo. As you can see, shading and highlights are possible.

Clear portion left by the feet to fit into stand base

Often, it's good to leave open space intact. I could've cut this white space out, but it would've been difficult and left it likely to break.
