Please. A handful years ago most of the people here were treating Gates like he was the most wonderful, generous soul to ever grace the earth, even when people were reminding you of what a shitbag he was. Then it finally sunk it, and now they're acting like they never even so much as thought such a thing, let alone defended him.

it's a generational difference but also a morally relative difference. The rich people who came before him were a magnitude worse, and if he was the worst rich person currently alive, the world would be a much better place. Doesn't make him innocent of any crimes he may have committed, but people have forgotten how bad the 50s through 80s were when it comes to businesses destroying the world, poisoning the land, and just straight up murdering people.
