This is from a French Chassepot bayonet and I know that it says when and where it was made but I can't make out some of the letters and I am just curious to know what exactly it says. I've had it for a few years but for some reason I never thought to post some pictures to see if anyone could make it out.
Here is the full bayonet. My grandparents found it at a yard sale or something like that and they thought I would like it.

It didn't come out great. I guess it is just too worn. http://imgur.com/qHpT6d7

Maybe a little touch

I tried several times, this was the best one. When I tried to do it lightly it would't show up at all.

Rubbings are tricky

Translation's no problem. Reading it from these pics, is a different thing altogether. Type the text out

That is the problem. I can't make out some of the letters so I can't just type it into Google translate. 1/2

You should be able to zoom in a decent amount. If you still need better pictures I can borrow my dad's phone since it has a better camera.
